What did you notice? Be specific. Talk about the location, people's appearances, and the actual battle. Is this what you visualized when you think about typical Civil War battles? Explain in one paragraph.
what I saw was that most of the people that was in the war was unexprenced and was vonlonteers to fight in the war.
ReplyDeleteWhat I noticed was that as they got closer to eachother they fired. They stayed in one line and really didnt do anything but shoot in the air and, stand there waiting to get shot.I also seen that as they walked they looked really depressing and was not excited for what they were fighting for,as well as I thought because i souldnt feel any emotion as theywalked.I really didt visually thought that the war would be like that,but it be like that sometimes
ReplyDeleteI think that was silly how the soliders were just standing around waiting to get shot. Also, how they took turns to shoot that was dumb. Their clothes also looked funny it looked old and ripped.I did not think this was how it was in the Civil War.
ReplyDeleteI think the location is a peaceful place.The union is fighting i could tell because of the guns and flags.They march in groups and there is alot of trees which means in a forest. There was hores and canons.They have about 2 or 3 drummer boys they look young.
ReplyDeletewhat i saw was that all the soilders where in a line n when one got shot they ignored him n keep going.The other thing that i saw was that the union soilders where volenters.The confederet where trained soilders n thats why they won that battle.
ReplyDeletei noticed that the reinactment had a lot of gun fire. Confenderates & union had different outfits/coats so we could tell them apart. it's not really how i thought it would be. i thought it would have more yelling and gunfire.
ReplyDeletewhat i notice about the video that i just watched is there were men marching with serious faces.they also had horses running threw the location.the war might took place in a forest.the union took the first shot with a cannon. one men got down. and one of the groups has a drummeer boy maybe about two or three.the union had lost the battle.

ReplyDeleteWhat i notice was that the battles were short and fast.The location was strang because it was up and down a hill.Some of the peole were dressed like a regular person.No it was not what i visualized because i thought it will be more gusom or bloody.
ReplyDeleteWhat I saw in the video was sort of simple.I thought there was going to be more people in the war.There was just like 15 people in each team!The location was big for like alot of people!People could have hid under bushes but everyone was were people could see each other.So I thought those people in the war didnt have any kind of strategy.

August 1st 1862. Both the south and the north were getting prepare to attack. The North was wearing the blue suits. And the south was just wearing random clothes. The north and the south came along to fight. The south hold up there flag. The north raised the United States flag. They both came with guns and riffles to attack. They began to shoot. Some were just running around with horses. The appearance I saw was scared, hurt, and worried. The location was in a lonely land. No houses just trees and grass. Yes, this was what I visualized when I think about Civil War Battles. I also noticed both the south and the north with serious faces. At last Confederance had won the battle.
What i saw in the video was that the soilders were shooting at each other in a lane. Some of the soilders were shooting at the air. Some soilders were in horses, they were even killing the drumers. That is what i noticed of the video.

The North had the Suits which were Blue and the South had Normal Clothes. They Both went to War and
haded to Fight Each other. They haded guns and Bombs so they could Fight Each other just Standing their trying to Shoot Each other as they Fighted . Then this guys were in Horses when they passed by and that’s how they started to Fight when they Shoot a Bomb. Then the Year was 1861 so, the Confederates Won the Battle. Like they were Fighting Verses Each other with their Rifles and their Bombs!!!
Yes, it is what i visualized of how a battle is. Except it would probably be more action in it. The costumes might need to look ore real. The reason why is because they look a little too clean and new. I imagined the uniforms to be not too moderned or new.The place seems real and somewhere it would take place.
ReplyDeleteThis is not really what I visualized when I thought about a Civil War battle. I thought it would have been more shooting then the organized shooting seen in this battle. I also thought tbhat people would have been moving more. I noticed that the Union looked more military style then those of the Confederesy who looked more like regular people then soilders.
ReplyDeleteWhat i noticed was that they fought in a small group and the"armys"Shot at the same time.The location was in a plain field,open space people were dressed in a uniform or sometimes in hats. The actual battle was really short and they had troops dieing and crawling away.They also were ina group shooting. What i visulalized was a whole bunch of people running and shooting with barracades everywhere and shields,and people dead every where.

ReplyDeleteThe soldiers were out in open shooting each other, instead of hiding. They were fighting in an open field. There tents were made of a bed sheet cloth. The clothing of the solders were basically rags on them. They didn’t have much protection against the bullets, and all they had was one gun not like soldiers today. When they were fighting it seemed kind of dumb because they were in a line all bunched up together, waiting for there turn to shoot. There fighting techniques weren’t very smart.

what i notice was that united states lost in the war and i think it was'nt fair for other people that died just because they have to fight on civil war..... also the other guys had like more guns and more cayons like more strong people..

What I think about it is that the war took place in the sunlight, and that people were shooting other people with guns. The people there were Men and only men. People were also shooting with canons and all kinds of other guns. People shot at each other at an open place where it is all green, so far, but soon enough the floor will turn all read with blood and people lying dead on the floor. Hundreds will die.
In August 1,1862 the union and Confederacy fought in an open field. The soldiers wore clothes of bad quality and had nothing to protect themselves against shots. They had soldiers that were holding flags and playing drums. They fought in a line taking turns shooting at each. They had tents that were made out of bed sheets. I fought that this did look like a typical battle, back then they didn’t have good fighting strategies, like hiding from your enemy.

Also that they were dressed with some uniforms that defined each side such as the unoin and the confederency when they were at war.It seemed that they fought during fall time and also that it happened on a hill.The way that they were fighting it seemed that some soldires weren't redy to fight of weren't trained good.
ReplyDeleteWhat I noticed was that the battle wasn’t as I expected it. I thought they would all be hiding in trees and running around shooting. But what I saw was people firing on the air instead of firing straight to the people. I also saw cannons firing and lots of smoke came out. The cannons and guns don’t throw smoke these days anymore. The confederacy had gray suits. The Union had navy blue suits which could be seen miles away. So its not so good to have suits in a war. They also died faster with the suits giving away they’re hideouts. That’s why they made camouflage and people barely die now. So the war from back then really changed from the wars from today.

ReplyDeleteWhat I saw shocked me. I would have expect them to commence firing once the confederates saw the union but instead they lined up and began firing. I also was amazed that the army would allow old men to enlist in the war. I was expecting that their would be more men and also that more would die seeming how it took almost 45 seconds before one was wounded. What I cant believed is that the Confederates waited for the Union to arrive . The most was the fact that the land was not near any state or city seeming how as I have heard many of the battles took place near cities and that their wasn’t many officers or that I saw riding horses.

ReplyDeleteIn this video I had noticed when the men are going to fight the fight land is on farm land. A lot of trees are around good place to hide and when they walk they are all together. Also that the flag is in the middle and drummer boys are on the end of the each side. Men look tried when they go to the war and the man go to the war they walk. In the beginning of the war the man walk and when they walk and shot the other people, but people just stand there were waiting to be shooting at. In the end of the war the South won when they had won the man of the South went up to the North man and shot who ever were on the floor. In the video the Southern man went up to one if the drummer boy and was going to shot him but did not. He did have scared and tried to use the drum as a shield. Even I think of the Civil War I think of the North and the South not being there because they thought it would be cool or because they were bored at home. When I think of the war I think of the man using things to hide like trees or rocks, but not like how I saw it in the video. The man in the video walked up to the people they are going against like it was nothing. I did not think about that is how they really had fought in the Civil War

He wzs on the floor with his drum. Another Union guy came with the gun. i think that he was going to hit him but then it stoped.

ReplyDeleteWell, what I see is that the confederate army is getting read to fight with the union. I also see tent in back of the soldiers. The confederate army is wearing dark pants and gray shirts. The union is wearing baby blue pants and navy blue shirts. Were they are fighting it looks like a field with a hill. I also noticed that almost at the end there are more soldiers from the south, than the north. I also see the soldiers in pain I see them rolling over with pain I also see them kneel down in pain. I do visualize this in a civil war battle because well it was the bloodiest war. I really do see those thinks when I think of the civil war. Oh and you know what else I see …I also see a lot of blood that the soldiers lost. So that is what comes up in my mind when I think of the civil war.
ReplyDeleteI noticed that the two countries carried their flags.It seems to me like if they were fighting in like in the woods or a spared location.The soldiers looked very serious on what they were doing.I thought that when the battle took place both sides fired out,but they didn`t.I also noticied that every soldier was on line,and ready too fight.
ReplyDeleteI noticed that the tents were just cloths. The location is a place where its just trees and grass. The Confederacy looks much more experienced then the Union. The drummers were in the front of the front line to show that the Union or the Confederacy was coming. The Union and the Confederacy hold up there flags. The actual battle was very intense. They had canons,guns,and horses. When I visualize about a Civil war battle I think about people not in lines and nurses coming back and forth getting soldiers and lots of people dying or getting hurt.
ReplyDeleteI noticed that the location chosen was very empty, like I imagined, but in my mind, when I think of war, I don't see in my head the grass, or nice, full of leaves, trees. I imagine empty trees, and dead grass, & dirt everywhere. I don't imagine the sun, I imagine clouds. It just seems very gloomy in my head, whenever I even think of the word, 'war.' I also found it funny, & a little dumb, how they fought, all bunched up together like that, & out in the open. I also find it dumb how the camp ground is not even a mile away. I find this very funny, because if the other country/nation/whatever was smart, they could attack in the middle of the night, with no struggle! I also feel a little bad for them, because if they fought in the winter with those clothes, they could freeze to death.
ReplyDeleteBased on what i saw in the video the soldiers from the Union looked better dressed and more organized in some way.The location looked deserted and it might be a good and bad thing.It might be a good thing because no one else would get hurt around them but the soldiers but it can also be a bad thing because there is not many places to hide. I didnt visualize the battles like this. This looks very planned and organized. But i did expect the "old style" guns. It looked like it took them a while to shoot again. And the last thing i noticed is that the soldiers may sometimes mistake their own for their rival because their clothin are almost the same colors.
ReplyDeleteIn the video I noticed the area was a large field. The union and the confederates would come to battle from opposite sides of the battle field. I also noticed that the union and the confederates held up their flag during battle. The union would fire all at once while the confederates shot at different times. The last thing i noticed was that even the person who was drumming was not shown mercy.

The Union look more well dressed than the Confederacy was. The fight took place in a grass covered valley surrounded by trees. I though that civil war battles were more exciting. I ought that that the soldiers will running to kill each other.
ReplyDeleteWhat i noticed is that people back then didnt have cars to ride oround people just had to hide places for they wont get shot at.people back then use to dress diffrently than today. the battles were just people shooting at each other and other people were trying to hide but it was hard to get oway. I think that i expected more for example i expected bombs or diffrent kinds of weapons.

ReplyDeleteThey go to an open battle field into groups & guns. The Confederacy has their flag in the battlefield &, The Union has their flag too. They walk into groups & shoot eachother from distance. I also saw that one man was down & another guy ran towards him & i think hes going to shoot him because the man thats on the floor covers his head. This video shows exactly how i imagine how the wars use to take place in an open battlefield, & how they kind of taketurn shooting eachtother &' walking into groups where they can be an open target.

I also noticed that their was a lot of shooting obiously.the whole movie was almost about shooting only. I also noticed scared people and when they were marching we can all just see people falling one by one its really sad!. It looked like they were fighting in like a field of something I don’t know the specific place like state country or anything like that. People looked very scared and every time the opposite army looks at someone from the other army wounded but alive they go up to them and kill them nasty I think they shoot them again or stick them with something that hurts. Did I realized this as a typical war?. Yes and no because I visualized more people like those people would fit in some back yard or something like that. I visualized more people like millions and millions of people. I also expected way more violence and blood but I guess it is like that but not shown in this clip .
ReplyDeleteIn the video reenactment of the Civil war we saw how the men were huddled in one group defending themselves from the enemy (strength in numbers). The Confederates wore gray uniform the union wore Navy blue shirts with light blue pants. They fought against each other with special tactics.

What I saw on the civil war video is that they acted like the civil war. But the thing that I don’t like is that the shot up instead of forward. The cannons were ok but I wished it was a movie. But the messed up part I saw was when everybody got shot at the end. Well the part that I liked the most is when (I’m not sure what side it was) they sot at him and he died and he was still holding the flag.
ReplyDeleteIn the video I noticed that the soldiers were wearing blue coats and sky blue pants. The weapons they were using weren’t modern like guns. They were old fashioned muskets. Also the way they fighted, they are in lines marching toward the enemy. Nowadays the soldiers are scattered in the battlefield, and they don’t march.
ReplyDeleteI noticed that the battle took place in a wide open space that seemed to be like a park. The location was really open with only nature to be seen with trees and bushes. The men did not really have the appearance to be how I expected them to be acting. They seemed as if they were just having a walk in the park. They had no suspence in their face and did not seem like they were about to fight a war or the fact that they are worried that they could die. The actual battle was kind of non believable. They didnt even act as if they were gettng shot and dying. At one piont it just got boring because everything semmed so fake with no feeling or any expression. This was not was I visualize when i think of a typical civil war.

What I saw was that people were dieing all over the place. Also that soldiers were getting ready for the war and that they were camping around to get ready. Man tired to kill but they got shoot and fell to the floor. More many dieing you can tell thegroup with red and blue and white stars lost. Ther flag had a x style with stars on it waving it saying they surrered. They are at a battle feild with a lot of grass and looks like mnts too. No i do not think this is a typical battle because they would ahve being shooting more and more, but who knows i never seen a real battle.

ReplyDeletewhat i noticed is that the people from the fight has to have some short of time to re-charge the guns. the place that the are fighting is like kind of like close to a farm or a hill. i also noticed is that the people from there they dont go hidding or separate each other they are most of the time together.

As they got closer to each other soilders started to fall down. I saw two types of weapons, cannons and guns. The land was pretty much just grass and dirt. I never expected the Civil War to be like this. I expected it to be soilders chasing each other shooting and staving each other.

The one group with the black blue red and white flag with star going across from it were fighting with the other group that were red to and white with black but they dint have the star goin across .The leaders only have horses and the rest were walking through all the battles. If everyone was on horses it will be more easy beacuse it will not be a long batlle to goand. Also I think that the reason they fought would be a good reason couse they were defending there homes. I noticed that they fought with no fearin in there eyes also I think that it was diffisult to walk all the way to the other battle field when other people would be waiting to kill them. Also they would sometimes be tired and the enemy would be waiting and they wouldnt be tired.I never seen a battle so i dont really think that I would be like that.
ReplyDeleteIn this battle I notice the union was black and the south was gray.They marched from their own sides .The place was a battlefield of dry grass which it was august and almost fall.I saw that the guns were so weak because they shoot on the air and needed to wait like 2 min to shoot again.The men were so tired and with no excitement at all.The union lost and some men died.Men that battle was not like I imagine because I thought their was going to be more guns and more equipment like bombs and metralletas.

ReplyDeletethe confedarates won and the union lost because their men were going to the other side or just not get in the war..the men that left are not forced to be in war because it seemed if they lost.but they did.it was a little place to be in war and they were all in single file lines .that would kill them all if they just stood there.

ReplyDeleteIn the video I noticed that the soldiers fighting were wearing uniforms signaling their side.The soldiers were brutally shooting each other,they used canons. I noticed that they didin't have veichles. They fought in small groups in the plain outdoors. I also noticed that back on those days the armies didin't wear the same uniforms as the ones used today.

what i learned on the video was that it seems that the union had more people in the cival war. a nother thing is that people were shooting at each other to the end untill they see who win the war also that it was a good place too have a war because no people were around
ReplyDeletein august the 1st.the civil war bearly staring.there agroup of people that is wearing a lon sleave baby blue , some babyblue jeans.in this group theres about 20 to 30 men.one of the mens is cariing a flag .the flag was red.blue and white with stars and there is another group marching whit the flag of the u.s.a.this people are wearing a coat dark blue,with a white-tunder,whit baby blue pants.the other groups starts the fire and theystared the war .
ReplyDeleteWhat I saw in this video is two group of men. There uniform were different. The way they look were different. Still they aren't different! There both Americans. Men that go to war just to die. I saw death going through the field taking with him inosent men. They are all americans. I saw terribla things. This is not how I thought war looked like. Not one bit
ReplyDeleteWell, I basically saw the both sides fighting against themselves in a battle that no one knew won. Also the sides were not dressed properly and had no uniforms on themselves and all they had to fight was a cannon and guns, nothing else. Unusual battles between the north Union and the south Confederacy.
ReplyDeleteI notice about the video is that both the south and the north were getting prepare to attack. The North was wearing the blue suits. And the south was just wearing random clothes. The north and the south came along to fight. The south hold up there flag. The north raised the United States flag. They both came with guns and riffles to attack. They began to shoot. Some were just running around with horses. The location was in a lonely land. No houses just trees and grass. I also noticed both the south and the north with serious faces. At last Confederance had won the battle.
ReplyDeletewhat i saw in the vedio was people walking like if it was acroos the street and they just stand there in a line and they shoot across waiting to be killed and it looked like they didnt know what to do at that time.
ReplyDeleteI think the video is about the north and the south fighting to win the battle.They were fighting to death.The union had more soldiers and more guns and not much cannon.The south had not much soldiers but had more cannons than the north.
ReplyDeleteWell the video was mostly about how people fought other people. How they fought agest people they didnt know for our country. It was boring, for me the song felt like sad but exciteing to see how many people died for a lot of us. How some poeple was just falling in the ground and shoting random people.
ReplyDeletewhat i saw in the video was that the cloths look like if they were farmers so i guesse that there probably not well train.the other side were wearing well good cloths and they were riding horse so they must have been train too.the field was big and dry . the conferent and the union both had guns .
ReplyDeleteWhat I visulaized while watching this video was bettter uniforms, And guns. Plus alot more people. I didn't expect them to take turns shooting.
ReplyDeleteIn this video the south and the north were fighting...Both had good equipment and the Northh was wearing blue suits and the south werent weariing any uniforms. There were alot of people injured or even possibly dead.
ReplyDeletewhat i noticed is that they didnt have shoes like us that they were older man and also that the union looked like they had more people in there side.an other thing is that people were juzt falling in the ground wen they were shooting at theme wich i tought was preatty funny too me.and the video was about the north side and the last thing is that they keeped repedyng the same sing all over again

people will go with their families and watch.The north did had nice guns and the south will have the better guns that the north didn't had.Well I think that the soth had more men and the north had alot of men too.I know this by the way that the video shows the north and south fighting too.That who I know what happend in the battle.
I think they are dume for what they did because they are standing there wiating to get shoot at and when they can just go up to them and fight stap or shoot them but no they all take turns shooting each other. but the south side had a littel bet of people and most of them were helpers. and that was not faer for them becaues they dont know how to shoot a gun so they would get killed fast.
