I liked the show because when you read and learn about the Holocaust you learn more about facts and how it started and the reasons. But in the play they actually go into the kids and what we would be going through if we were jews and were living there during that time. I also really liked the performance because the actors really got into their characters. And I would like to learn more about the Holocaust after watching the show.And learn more about what these kids used to do.
ReplyDeletethe theater for me was very emotion because how the children suffer so many times and not having the needs they needed to survive.Also hoe they use art to get distracted from all the horrible things that was around them.example were music,poetry,drawings.,ect. i really enjoyed it i could watch it over and over again
ReplyDeleteWell i thought it was an awesome show and it made me understand the cause better than when i read the story. I liked it because the performers really did know how to act it out and they relly knew what they were doing and i felt like i was really watching what the real kids experienced through. I will be intersted in knowing more about it because it looked like something intersting and important to learn about. I really enjoyed going!
ReplyDeleteI thought the show was amazing because so much emotion was put into it and you can feel how they felt. I thought that it was sad how young they could be and how almost everything they do could get them shot. I also was kind of sad how they keep trying to keep their minds off the things around them yet they work these things into their drawings and poems that remind them of how their life was and how they are forced to live now waiting for the days of pain to end.

ReplyDeleteWell, I thought the performance was outstandingly good to my aspects. This play had a combination of good actors, good props, and good outline. It was a shame that all of the characters had to go to Poland to be massacred or worked to death, but that was what really happened during World War 2. The theater was also very beautiful and very comfortable to me. And now that I think about it, The Holocaust would be something interesting to learn about, and I also would like to see who was the one who acted against it, abolishers. So, those were my thoughts through the play, 5 out of 5, And A Child Shall Lead, very good!

ReplyDeleteWhat I though about the play is that it was so wonderfull, because I felt so sorry for those kids that were in the real time that it almost felt like I was in that time. I think that we should start learning more about the Holocaust, because it is important to be able to leran about others people experiences and how they felt. In the play i got scared when lights when off and I just heard footsteps, and a person running and screaming. I was about to cry when Elena got sick because of Martin got shot. I felt so,so happy when Pabol graved all the stuff of the newspaper and put them together, and show it to the world.
ReplyDeleteThe show was Okay, It was horribel how they treated the Jews just because they were Jews. It was funny when the girls were all worrieded about loosing their virginities and haveing their first kiss it was cute. Like that was acuorded but funny. The theater was like awsome because it was big and like you can hear everything they saied insetead of asking what they said. The actors looked like they got into the character like they try haveing to feel how they felt wich was really horribel. My thoughts on the performance was pretty good.
ReplyDeleteThe play I saw seemed really true. The actors were pretty good, and it was funny. When the kid wanted to fight back and he got shot, the red light went off and he just walked away. I was started laughing! Hahaha it was funny. It was also funny when the girls were talking about losing their virginity's and they were little! Like 10 or 12 years old, somewhere around there. When they kissed i was like awwww:). It wass cute haha! The first one looked real, the 2nd one dirent. I would like to learn more about the holocaust & visit and explore Terezen.

ReplyDeleteWhat I think about the play was that it was really good. The ators made the play really believable and it was really exciting. I was surprised how two of the children were shought and killed. Also two girls liked two bous and when they were sent to die, they couldn't die together. In the end Pavel is the last one left. That was really sad because they sent so many children to die and only a very a little of the children survived. I just didn't know if Pavel surviced or if he died. I really want to learn more about the Holocaust because I really want to know aout more that happened to the children.
ReplyDeleteWe got to the theather and it looked boring the stage wasn`t that big though.The actors came out finally i thought.The performence was intersting it had emotion and it was sad.The reason is all the people that were in the camp left to Poland exept for one.I want to learn what happend to the childrens parents.I thought the play was very intersting with many emotions and all the actor were very serious about their job and with their charecter.
ReplyDeleteI think the play was very interesting.what i liked about it was how the kids used different tipes of ways to forget and not be scared of what is happening.for example when they were playing tag and the boy whent to go check on the train they tryed forgeting the fact that he could get shot so wat they did was just keep playing.this play really made me picture how it really was back then it made me feel like if i was in their shoes.the sad part of it was how they had to seperate.taht was sad because all their years in the camp made them feel like they werent alone that they had eachother.its interesting how they never forgot how home was and what they did in home,like the girl dancing and the music they played and the jewish ceramony.what i really liked was that nomatter how bad things were they never lost hope on going back home and be free.this is what i think and liked about the play.

In the play Hitler had Jews trapped in a camp named Terezin. They were so miserable there that they tried to act like they were at home. They played and did arts. The reason they did arts was because they wanted to express their pain and what they were living. I think that we should learn more about the Holocaust because it is an important event in history.

ReplyDelete- I spent my day with Mrs. Dempsey. We were helping her organize graded papers on the students folders. We took the whole day helping her put them on the right order. She gave us candy and we were eating candy working on the papers. We had gone to lunch with there home-room. The time pass fast being with her. it was an OK day with her.
ReplyDeleteThe show was okay. The actors i think did really good. My favorite part was when they were fighting and I thought when the older boy carried the girl was sweet. At first I thought that they were brother and sister. What I also liked about this play the actors were loud enough so that the audience could hear them. I liked that the theater was in the form of an old setting. I think that this play was a very good play actually. I also liked that they showed there feelings and they were just really good actors.

ReplyDeleteI thought the show was emotional and spiritual because the kids in the play they really wanted to reach their goals and become something of them selves since they been away from their parents for some years and one day when they see their parents again they want to be proud and they want their parents to be proud to.some things that happened in the play is that all these kids that were at this camp and they find away to survive and to get along with every one to try to have a family since their away from theirs and they try to survive while their there.the actors showed how they felt with art and music.After seeing the show i think that i would like to learn about this especially to see what happened to the kids did they ever see each other again?

But it made me realize how much they went though. I liked how they went into the peoples live like if they were them them selfs .it made me think about all the different things they were also to go though . But still it was boring but at the same time it was a bit cool because at first i didn't like it but i got used to it and at the end i liked it but like always i dealed with it.

What i thought about the play was that it was kinda interesting, but mostly boring. I think it was a waste of $10 useful dollars. I'll like to learn more about the Holocaust and Nazis. The actors on the play were pretty good i guess. The performance was kinda sad because Martin died doing nothing, and also the other kid who fought with a slingshot.

I actually liked the play because it was good to know what happened in the past and it will never happen again. It was pretty brave that there were 2 jews in the play and they didnt get scared or anything. I woul be more interested to learn more about it because I want to learn more about the holocaust.
ReplyDeleteI thought the show was really good. It was depressing how they all died except one, why would you want to kill off kids they didnt do anything wrong. The camps were in horrible conditions but, the kids still managed to keep there minds occupied. The way the kids drew and wrote and played, there minds are so pure but they had to suffer. I thought the little plays within the play was really nice because, it showed how the kids took up there time. I would want to learn more, because their story is so unique and depressing with things you would never imagine a child would go through.
ReplyDeleteThe show was good because the actors did a fantastic job in the acting. They helped each other on writing and reading. They all where interested in some thing like Pavel use his flute to clam him down and make him feel better and not think about how their going to die. And the little girl played with her doll and spoke to it like if it was a real person she played house and baby's and her older sister will play with her and so will the other kids. I want to learn about what happen to them when they got on the trains to be send to Poland and be executed. Some where lied to and told them it was water but it was acid or gases that killed them or they were toxicated. The show was great because they made it look like that is what happen even do it did. the actors must have practice their roles for a long time till they memorized the scrip cause that was amazing they made the fighting look real and like if they were actually hitting then self. I would want to learn if their was any other ways they tried to get them self free or try to run away from were they where at.

What happened that i understood was that theyre were a few kids that were left behind in this place were they were sorta safe and were without parents and no food. Only a few of the kids survive. I liked the way the actors acted this play out because it showed an expression that they like acting out abd they dint mess up not that i know but they did a great job acting out theyre part. I would like to learn how they manage to survive and what they did to survice other then being safe.Also how did they have their life when they survive. How was their life back then.

I thought that the show was very realalistic. All of the actors showed how the children in the camps distracted themselves by making drawings, writing newspaper and diaries, playing games, and performing plays. They showed how some children became mothers to their sibblings and were always worried that they would be sent away and seperated from each other. After seeing the play, I would be interested in learning more about the camps, the type of people that were captured, and how were they saved.

The show was very like I don’t know how to explain it but it is touching to me the children had nothing to do but act out what they hear and what they saw. It was touching when the teacher died and they still went on learning by helping each other. The performance was really I felt like if it could have happen I read I book similar to this and I was alive like I felt the emotions and love and hate! After seeing the show I really want to learn about the Holocaust. It seems like so it is something really I want to know everything what happen, why it did. I wonder this and hope some day I get the answers. The show was great and it made me think that I want to act because in acting your learn something new.

The Nazis made up some really fake commercials of how the little kids were supposedly having fun in the concentraion camp. The play was cool because of the way the actors made the scene look real.

ReplyDeleteThe actors made it seem real and for a second made me forget it was a performance, the play made me learn how the holocaust made Jews feel.
I thought it was very interesting the way that Jews expressed their feelings through art, diaries, and music. I believe that if i was in their place besides feeling tortured it would of been a wonderful experience; having the ability to share their feelings, creativeness, stories and many other things with each other.
Now after the performance i really think i would be interested in learning about the holocaust.
What I think about the show was that it was very cool very reacting. the actors were Jewish and they had to watch there backs of the Nazis. I would like to know if there was another place to live.
ReplyDeleteI thought the show was awesome.The stage was set up so well with the barb wires, and the background lights,just really well done.I noticed how hard the life was for the Jews.How they had to do everything the Germans said, and how the kids stayed intertained inside the getto during the Holocaust.The actors looked young and they did a great job acting.Everithing was so persise.

The kid in the camp kept themselves entertained by play games or making fun of nazi propaganda. By the end of the play everyone of the kids were sent on a train to their deaths. I thought the actors’ performance was superb.

ReplyDeletewell i did not go to the play. but what i did was did work and read books. i helped out the 3rd grades.i went to lunch i had a chicken burger. i went to prep with the 3rd grders and we had gym. then at the end of the day the people from the play came back and we spent the last 30min in the cafiteria.

ReplyDeletelook like they had fun and enjoyed the play. But… one of the actors, the guy that played (Martin). I sensed a bad vibe from him. I have no idea why because I don’t him, but he was good guy in the play, but something about him makes me feel strange. Bad strange. I like the smoke effect and when one of the actors play the violin.
I think the play was pretty cool because that way I got to learn more about the Holocaust I really want to learn more about this because its pretty interesting..

In the middle of the show martin got shot,Because be had a letter about him writing to his brother,but he was not really going to send it. I think that the performance was especially about the kids because when the event actually happened many kids died, But their art work was very Impressive to me. The best part of the show was when Gabriela and that guy got connected more because they both played music and they played together and that’s what they brought their relationship together. I think that after watching the performance I do think that I want to learn more about the Holocaust because I want to learn more about it and what happened to the kids that actually survived.

I was helping Mrs.Thibeau with her second grade class,then after phonics we went to gym were I saw Amilcar,my classmate.then my two other class mates Maribel and Eli came to pick me and go to the lunch when they came back from the field trip.In the end of the day I had fun.BE BREEZY

I Thought it was An Awesome Show!! It was Funny somehow, it says things that they weren't suppose to say which were Really Funny and Made me Crack when they said the "P" word which was Wrong... So I think it was a Cool, Funny and Educational Show. And the Actors were really Great what they did to make a Show. Plus the Stage look Real somehow... and it was a really Good Act they had Done.

Instead of letting them go they took away their lives and they didn't even have fun. The actor had done a really good job. I think this would be a really good topic to lear more about later in writing class because it was such a tragady.
ReplyDeleteI think the show was very educational and emotional. For one thing the way the characters expressed their emotions on being in the camp was phenomenal. An example of this is the way they defied the German laws just to show how much they want people to know about them. One way it was educational was the way it showed us the life within the camps. For one thing I saw how the Jews in the camp would be taken after they had become I’ll and unable to work. I also saw the treatment and events the Jews face so to say the way they would be starved, deprived of knowledge, and worst of all from their families.

ReplyDeleteI think the play was very emotional. The kids didn't get to live a normal life all due to the Holocaust. How can anyone live like that. They had to go to school hidden. If they get caught they will get shot. If they disobay they get shot. If they don't follow the rules (that change every day) they get shot. In the end everyone died. I want to keep studying this.

ReplyDeleteBased on what I seen the show gave me a more clearer picture of what it was like for the children during the Holocaust.From my understanding the children spent their days writing about their lifes in the ghettos. Also I learned that kids were being lied to to protect them from being hurt.Watching the show last week made me feel the emotions the kids felt being away from their families and never being able to see them again.The actors also found a way to bring comedy into this terribly sad story.The show was amazing and I liked it a lot.I would really want to learn more about the Holocoust and how it started,what was peoples reaction to it once they found out,and I would love to read and see what kinds of things these children did and drew

ReplyDeleteI thought that it was sad,but awsome.It was actually intresting, and I was thinking that it was going to be boring.The actors were GREAT except that the older sister wanted to laugh when she kissed the guy.Plus I would love to learn more about it.
ReplyDeletei think the play was very cool. i liked the stage and the sound effects. i also liked how they acted everything out.the show was very interesting and it tought us what we did not no. wat was happening was that there was these kids in the camp every day it got more and more crouded and no body liked it becouse there was no food or space to live on. anyone who was cought drawing or writting would be killed becouse they were not suppose to be learning anything.

ReplyDeleteI think that the play was good and it really helped me understand about the holocaust.For the reason that the actors were good in acting it out.Also the scene helped me understand the situation of the place where they had to live in such as "terezin" the place where the play took place at.I think that after seeing the play i found it interesting and i would like to learn more about the holocaust.The actors were great.They showed their emotions as the kids in real life had to go thru and of what they did during they were there. Also of who some kids who risked their lifes such as on group did in the play writting a news paper,writing and drawing so that if they died peolpe would find those things and would know how they they were treated.
ReplyDeleteI think the show was great i like the way the actors act and the stage was like you where in it. It made me belive how did the jews where treated in the camp and how they kill anyone who wrote a word. Like that kid that got shot for writing a leter to his family
ReplyDeleteI think that the play on the Terezin camp and the people in it would be a good play to watch and had good scenes that would affect me that made me more interested on the Holocaust. In the play, there would be the actors and actresses doing the fun the people back then would do when there were in the prison camps. Even they would show their reactions and feelings while in the camp. I really what to know more about the Holocaust to know more on what they did and other things.

ReplyDeleteWhat I thought about the show was that it was very exciting and fun to watch. I thought it was great! The actors did a really good job acting out the play. It seemed the actors were very focus on what they were doing. The theater was small but creative. The sounds they played made the play tense and exciting. The lights made the play look even better. The way the actors ran back and forth was very interesting and the way they were all worried and scared of what was going to happen. How they were screaming at each other, disagreeing and looking out for each other. My thoughts about the performance was that it was very fun to watch. It was very emotional and how kids suffer every day of their lives. How actors can play out how people lived, and how there lives were. There was nice drawings, and also very good poetry. In the play there was a romantic scene and some were sad, but some were happy as well. I am glad I got to see this play.. Yes I would be interesting in learning more about the holocaust, because it tells us about how people lived back in the years and how there lives were in danger. How we should be glad how things change over the years and how things are now. Be also glad that theirs laws and a government that can protect us.
ReplyDeleteI taught the show was kind of funny. But i was getting bored after a while. I liked the part when the two boys started to fight, but the thing I didnt like was that it was fake. The beginning was sort of weird.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts about the play was that I loved the play because it seems so really to me. I like the play because I learn more about the Holocaust and a lot more fast then what I had thought I would know about the play. I was really in to the play because how the actors had show how it really was like as a Jew kid. I also enjoyed the play because the actors played so really to me on had got really into the person that they were play ion the play. The played also showed how the kids had got their mind off of the point were they were going to die. In the play the kids had made their own little play to get their mind off the death of the own and the people that they had now care and loved. In the play it talks about they had made a lot of art by playing music, playing games, drawing , and ect. In the play it also show how they had once had not like each other, but in the end learn how to love one another as a family and as a boyfriend and girlfriend. I would like to learn more about holocaust.

ReplyDeleteI thought that the play was good. It made me think that many people suffered and that they were also separated.Some of the people there are really great actors. But then there's also some that could use a little bit more practice. In the end it was sad because that one kid stayed by hymself. He was there when the explotion happened.

ReplyDeleteWell i didnt attend=(but i still had fun with the first graders=) i helped them with their work and i also helped the teacher with stuff oround the class. They were annoin and hard to understand but i kho they are little.

ReplyDeleteI thought it was an amazing show. There was so much emotion put into it and you can really feel how they felt. I thought it was sad that they were so young and all they could do was nothing ,but they were able to go to school just as long as they didn't get caught. The actors did a wonderful job I wouldn't mind watching the play once more. The way the actors used their props was wonderful they looked like real professional actors. I would love to learn more about the holocaust and how the people loved their life without trying to get shot.
ReplyDeleteI thought these actors were one of the survivors in the holocust. They acted like they were. I really liked it and evercince that play I have been interested alot about the holocust. I hope we see another similar play like this but I would like some violence.
ReplyDeletei thoight the show was interesting becuse evrey kid hade each other. the treted ther self like family and were all fair and they did have some probelms but the found a solution for it which was nice and they all wher diffrent in ther owen thing i liked the play a lot it was cool
ReplyDeleteI thought that the play was amazing I liked how they acted. They made it seem extremely realistic. They made me feel like I was part of the play. The show was funny, entertaining, sad, and very interesting. The most interesting part was what they did to their teacher; they decided to continue teaching themselves even after the teacher was dead. I thought that the theater appearance was not interesting because the stage had many suitcases and I did not understand why. After what I saw, I would like to learn more about the Holocaust because I wanted to know why they killed allot of Innocent people.
ReplyDeletewell What i learned about the theater was that we learned about the holocaust was amazing.what i learned was that 93 survived.i also learned that they had been taking away from their parents and they had then been called by the trains for they could go to another to a country that they won't remember .
ReplyDeleteSince i did not attend the show....i spent my day at my aunts house why because our car did no turn on. We spent the night at her house...It was hell next to my little cousin the whole entire day and night!!!! And its a good thing people that went to the play because they had a great time!

ReplyDeleteI THOUGHT IT WAS A VERRY COOL SHOW!!i like it when it started by the actors were playing tagg.they did a good job in acting .One part that i thought was sad was when the guy and the girl that liked eachother and had to be separated because they had to catch a bus but the guy didn't have a ticket so they had to separate and that kinda made me cry lol :). i really liked the part when they made a puppet show and how they made the things look big on the blanket.that is what i liked about the play.

ReplyDeletewhen all of the 8th grade went to watch the play I was stuck in qym all day. i played qym 3 times. I played basketball n dodge ball at the end of the day. It was borinq n then they all came back n they all said that they had a qreat time. I regret not qoinq.
ReplyDeletewell i did not exactly go to the play but i had fun with Mrs.Dempsey.it was cool because we ate candy and stuff.it was not boring it felt cool being in are old class seeing Mrs.Dempsey teach.the bad thing was the little seven graders got in so much trouble.
ReplyDeleteI liked the play because it was so realistic and it made you feel like if you were actually there when it was happening. The show was very interesting and it was about kids who were sent into a Nazi concentration camp. The kids educated themselves, played games, and they all had hobbies which were music, drawing, or acting. What was sad was that we saw the kids getting killed one by one until there was only one kid left which survived the holocaust. This play teached me a lot about the Holocaust that I didn’t know.
ReplyDeleteOkay my day was good because i was with Jocey and Lesly with Mrs.Dempsey it was awsome. I think the seventh grader got more introuble than us. I helped Mrs.Dempsey then she awarded us with candy.That was awsome I wish to again with Mrs.Dempsey we had a fun. And no work just helping.
ReplyDeletewell what i saw in the plate was fun cool and more to say. i really like how the characters acted and the most thing is that how could they remember all the acted part.Also i liked hoe they share there answers with us like we ask them questions and they answer them that was really nice good job.
