Enrique's Journey and the article "All Alone" relate because they both show how hard and difficult their life was traveling around the continent by themselves. The text states "Enrique has no clue of what she is going to do" (Nazario 1). This means that Enrique"s mom is going to send him across the continent so he can have a better life but he is too young to understand what is happening. The text also states " She kneels and kisses Belky and hugs her tightly. Then she turns to her own sister. If she watches over Belky, she will get a set of gold fingernails from el Norte. But Lourdes cannot face Enrique" (Nazario 2). This means Enrique still doesn't know his sister. That is why EJ and "All Alone" relate.

"Enrique's journey and the article "all alone" relate because they both show how kids cross the border from central America with out anyone and cross by themselves."I'm going to make it to the U.S."(Nozario 2) This is important because it says that he will cross to the U.S all alone.Enrique will try to make it to the U.S."The kids, some as young as 3,are from central America, and they've made the long journey north through mexico without there parents or families"(All Alone") These is important because it says that kids travel by them selves to the U.S from central America with no parents. Also because kids travel with no families or parents with them. That is why "Enrique's journey and "All Alone" relate.

  3. Enrique's journey and the article "All Alone" relate because they both talk about immigration and how it's dangerous and not easy to cross the boarder.According to "Enrique's Journey" "Thousands shelter workers say make their way through mexico clinging to the sides and tops of freight trains. The children jump onto and off of the moving train cars.Sometimes they fall and the wheels tear them apart"(Nazario2). This evidence shows that its dangerous because it says that they have to go on top of moving trains to cross the boarder. It also shows that it's dangerous because it says that sometimes when they jump of the moving wheels tear them apart.According to "All Alone" "But many of the smugglers are criminals themselves often connected to drug cartels. So thousands of kids make the trek across mexico alone"("All Alone").This piece of evidence shows that its dangerous because many parents pay smugglers but even then the kids still make the trek across mexico alone. Also you would never know what is happening to the kids even though the parents think that they're with the smugglers so the kids could be in big danger. This why I think Enrique's Journey and All Alone are related.

  4. Enrique's Journey and the article "All alone" relate because they both show que hablan de los inmigrantes como es lo dificil pasar y contrabajos llegar. According to "Enrique's Journey", "The Journey is hard for the Mexicans but harder still for Enrique and the others from Central America, they must make illegal and dangerous trek up the length of Mexico"(Enrique's Journey Nazario 1). Aqui explica como describen a las personas ilegales. Y explica como es malo pasar de mojado a la frontera porque no hay mucha seguridad. (Enrique's Journey Nazario 1)According to "All alone" "A year after Enrique goes to live with his uncle,Lourdes calls this time from North Carolina, California is too hard, she says, there are too many immigrants" (All alone Nazario 4). Aqui explica como dice que Enrique se va a pasar la frontera y eso es peligroso. Tambien dice que los inmigrantes tienen que pasar pero a escondidas (All alone Nazario 4 ). That is why "EJ" and "All alone" relate.

  5. Enrique's Journey and the article "All Alone" relate because they both show kids fighting to cross the border to get to the united states with their family or something else.
"many of the kids are trying to reunite with family already in the u.s. But tens of thousands of others are fleeing poverty and gang violence in their home countries and hope to be allowed to stay in the u.s."(All Alone,pg 6).
kids pass the border to go to the u.s. for two reasons. They want to go with the family that is already in the u.s. and the second reason is they are violence and mistreated in their home land and coming to u.s. thinking its safer for them.
"He hugs maria Isabel and Aunt Rosa Amalia.then he steps off."
This shows that Enrique is taking it to the next level and going to find his mom by crossing two borders the mexico and u.s. one. Where he lived he didn't have love that much but his uncle that got killed. Plus you know a sons love for a mother its huge that wherever she is you go too. Enrique is old enough now to go find his mother and waited years to see her again.
That is why Enrique journey and "All Alone" relate to each other because its talking about two different story
that take place trying to cross the border to go to the u.s. and find either their family or ignore the violence that is going on there country and thinking its safer in the u.s.

Enrique's Journey and the article "All Alone" relate because they both show how young kids are having difficulties in life."Enrique misses Lourdes enormously"("Nazario 4"). Enrique misses his mom because she had left him with her family and now he needs her. He want to go to the United States to see his mother." Many of the kids are trying to reunite with family already in the U.S.("All Alone"). Kids from Mexico want to go to the US because they want to see their family. But ten of thousands live with gang violence and they hope to stay in the US.

  7. Enrique Journeys and the article"All Alone" relate because they both show that they cross to U.S and just leave there family because in Enrique Journeys says that"Estimate 48,000 children who enter the united states from central america and mexico each other illegally and without either of their parents"(Enrique Journeys Nozario 1).And on "All alone"says that they all so cross to the U.S and leave sometimes without there parents and some die because they don't make it all to the U.S and there parents just let there sons go.that why EJ and "All Alone" our related.

Enrique's Journey and "All Alone" relate because they both show people in communities where they don't have a lot of food and shelter. They have this idea where they think that the U.S. have it better than them when it isn't anything different. Both also are related because now people live the same in only that spot where they have nothing left and now they don't have a choice, they need to move to the U.S they all are put in danger to be killed or starve to death. According to "All Alone" "You really don't know what moment you're going to be killed" ("All Alone" pg 7). This line basically explains what kids that leave their homes are going through, many just leave and have to worry about being killed. They, themselves are put in danger, the kids need to think of their safety when they can't. According to Enrique's Journey "Virtually unnoticed, he will become one of an estimated 48,000 children who enter the United States from central America" ( Enrique's journey pg 1).This piece of evidence basically refers to how many kids of an estimate of 48,000 live now alone with out shelter with their life risks. The children need to get money yes, but they need to think of themselves first. This is why Enrique's Journey and "All Alone" are related.

Enrique's Journey and the article "All Alone" relate because they both show that crossing the border is a good reason because if it wasn't why are they trying to cross over. "Enrique's mom told him to cross the border because she doesn't have money to buy him things for school and they can take care of him over there. that's a reason to cross over the border they can help them and put them in school and give them homes." in the article "all alone" there was a very bad gang that would kill u or make u turn in to that gang and make u take drugs and do other bad things that wasn't good for kids and people to do." that's another good reason to cross the border or because they are trying to get to family there's different reasons but those were there reasons to cross the border I think. That is why Enrique's Journey and "All Alone relate"

What I think is the same about both text, " All Alone" and " Enrique`s Journey" that both of the text talk about how parents are crossing kids illigally, and its hard for them. This is because it says " The kids, some as young as 3, are from Central America, and they`ve made the long journey north through Mexico without their parents" (All Alone). This means even small kids cross the border alone. And in " Enrique`s Journey" it says that Enrique was off to find his mother and since him and his sister were apart for a long time, she didn`t want him to leave. And Enrique was leaving as an immigrant and alone with nobody. This is how they relate,

Enrique's Journey and the article "All Alone" relate because they both show, how to people are about to go through immigration. It states " She will go to the United States and make money and send it home"(Nozario 4) They both believe that they will succeed even more in the United States, but it may be harder for them. Brian also believes that he will succeed. In the Article "All Alone " Thousands of kids from Central America are entering the United States illegally- and alone"(Nozario 4" Both of the boys are going to make the journey alone both Brian and Enrique. They're also going to have to go illegally, since Lourdes isn't a resident yet. This is why I believe that this is why they have things in common.

Enrique's Journey and the article "All Alone" relate because they both show that these children have no one and the only decision they have is to go to the U.S. A piece of evidence that shows is "Enrique is banished to a tiny stone building seven feet behind the house but world away"( Nozario 5). This show how he has no one nobody wants to take him in. This also shows how he is alone and thinks more about the people that left him. Another piece of evidence is "Teens are killed for refusing to join gangs , which often recruit near schools"(All Alone). This shows why some parents send their children alone to the U.S because of the danger. Also because they want their children to be successful. That is why E J and "All Alone" relate.

  20. Enrique's Journey and the article "All Alone"relate because they both show how the kids or people are having a hard time crossing the border. The evidence from all alone is that ("All Alone") Most people who enter the united states illegally run from the border patrol agents who try to catch them.) My evidence for this is that In real life theirs a lot of people who want to cross the border but they cant because then other people catch them that they are traveling to another state. My second evidence is that its not easy to cross the border i know a lot of people who don't get to cross the border they make them go back to their state again. For ("Enrique journey") is that the evidence that site how both relate to each other is that roughly two thirds of them will make it past the U.S immigration and naturalization service).(Nazario 1) My evidence that explains this is that that's true because not a lot of people have the chance to cross the border. My other piece of evidence is that kids and people try their best to go see their families or also that people don't have jobs.

Enrique wants to cross to the U.S. to get to his mother and be with her but there's a lot of danger crossing the border. Not a lot of children make it to the U.S., only two thirds make it. A lot of children have attempted to cross without their parents but it is very difficult. Another thing that shows how they both relate is that in the article "All Alone" its states, "Although illegal immigration has been a controversial issue for years, the number of kids coming to the U.S. on their own from Central America has reached crisis levels in the past few moths." The amount of children passing alone has grown each moth. They risk their lives just to get to a better place. That is why Enrique's Journey and "All Alone" relate.

She will go to the United States and make money and send is home," (Enrique's Journey Ch 1 P4). This sentence from the story shows that Enrique's mother will have to go to the United States because where she lives she can get a decent job, so she wants to go find one in the U.S. This affects Enrique's life because he won't have his mother to be with him. According to the article "All Alone" it states,"But tens of thousands of others are fleeing poverty and gang violence in their home countries and hope to be allowed to stay in the U.S." ("All Alone" p.6). This line relates to my opinion on how both stories are alike because this means that kids are fleeing/running away from their home countries because of the violence and poverty. Many kids underage also want to reunite with family already in the U.S. That is why Enrique's Journey and "All Alone" relate.

This separates the family because some stay behind and others move. You might not even know were they are located at.'' The kids journey to the U.S. can take months.[All alone]. You don't get to see your family members in months their worried for you and you are worried for them. Also your not sure if they made it safe or if they died on there way. Enrique Journey and All Alone both talk about immigration on why people leave their home and go to the U.S. Brian from All Alone he left his home because members of a gang were forcing him to join or be killed but that very day he was thinking on leaving his home and going to the U.S so he wont be killed. From Enrique Journey his mom left her children so she can get more money and send the money to them. I think that those reasons are why people and children are leaving their home to make a better life and stay alive. Or just like Enrique's Journey he left so he can find his mom that might be a reason on why people leave their home.

"Enrique's Journey" and the article "All Alone" relate because they both show all of the problems and things multiple kids from Central America have to go through just to make it out of their country. "... estimated 48,000 children who enter the United States from Central America and Mexico each year, illegally and without either of theirs parents" (Enrique Journey 154).
This shows just how many of an estimate of kids are always trying yearly to escape from their countries for a better life. It also shows how desperate all those kids are to leave their countries because of how poor and bad they are. "The kids, some as young as 3, are from Central America, and they've made the long journey north thought Mexico without their parents or families" ("All alone 56"). This shows how even some of the most young Central kids want to leave their countries to go to the United States, because they know there will be less violence and danger for them. Also a lot of them are trying to get there even without any family, because sometimes there's already waiting for them on the other side or they just had to sadly deal with it and start their life alone on the other side for the better. According to Enrique's Journey it states, "They live on the outskirts of Tegucigalpa, In Honduras. She can barely afford food for him and his sister, Belky, who is seven." (Nozario 1) This proves that people all around the world are immigrants. There are many places in which people need money to survive, to keep their family stabled, but it's difficult when you don't have a proper job to maintain the bills or food. According to "All Alone" it states, " To defer future immigrants, he's sped up efforts to deport thousands of adults and families who have recently entered the country illegally." ("All Alone" 3) This shows that they want kids to pass the border faster so the president asks congress to send the minors that don't have anybody with them faster to the U.S. They want less people to come in to the U.S because it can be dangerous, as they enter illegally. Enrique's Journey and the article "All Alone" relate because they both show how it can affects the families lives. According to Enrique's Journey "His grandmother waits up for him, crying. "Why are you doing this to me?" she asks. "Don't you love me? I am going to send you away." "Send me! No one loves me." Enrique feels that no one loves him because of the fact that his mother left him and his sister when he was just a young boy. As you can see Enrique seems to be really angry i believe he feels this way because his mother felt him but is not just because of that its also because he goes from home to home he lived with his dad but his dad later made him move with his grandmother but then his grandmother kicked him out because of how he acted he later moved in with his uncle Marco but his uncle Marco passes away and his girlfriend kicks Enrique out so he has no choice to move back in with his grandmother.

Enrique's Journey and the article "All alone" relate, because they both show how immigration was like for kids when they suffer a lot on land, violence, and missing their family members. One piece of evidence from this is "Children are frequently on the front lines of the danger.Teens are killed for refusing to join the gangs, which often recruit near schools." ("All Alone",pg 7). This would say that both stories would share the same problem when violence mostly occurs and causes a big problem for kids when having to move out or try to do something to fix it in the hardest way.Another thing about this is that many places in the world are just not understanding when taking control of too much power and it would make a lot of places to be destroyed or ruined instead of taking care of it like others do,but this is making the population go shorter and threatened when going through a long time train survival or anything with transporting.Another piece of evidence that shows how these are related is "Usually a chain of smugglers is used

Enrique's Journey and the article "All Alone" relate because they both show that they crossed the border without their family at a young age. According to Enrique's Journey and "All Alone" they both are two boys that have the idea of crossing the border for a better life(Nazorio, 3,"All Alone", 6-8). This shows that both have the a similar situation going on on their lives. Also that they are two young boys doing something crazy and dangerous but they believe its their only hope. According to "All alone" it talks about where Brian came from, Honduras, and how he feels that he might die in any second("All Alone", 6-8). Also according to Enrique's Journey, he left to find his mom for another reason because he also felt that he might die in any second.(Nazorio,3) This shows that both boys are scared of Honduras and the violence happening there. Also both have the same reason why they should leave and go to the United States. That is what I believe they both have in common.

According to "All Alone", "Some parents pay smugglers up to $7,500 a fortune for many of the families to get their kids away from the gangs" ("All Alone" pg 7). This evidence explains that some parents pay money to families from Mexico. That way their kids can try to have a good education and not get into gangs. According to Enrique's Journey, "48,000 children who enter the United States from Central America and Mexico each year, illegally and without either of their parents."This shows that most kids will have and probably have a hard time looking for a place to stay. Enrique's Journey and the article '' All alone'' relate because the both show that immigrants travel to United states so that they can become citizens and have a job and they do that so that they get money to sent away to the families they have in Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala. '' The U.S. hasn't deported as many kids in recent years/ One reason is a 2008 law aimed at combating child trafficking ''. So immigrants that are coming to the United states are a lot so that's why they are calling it the child traffic. I think kids from Honduras,
El Salvador and Guatemala are trying to get to this place so that they get better help, go to school and stay away from violence, but if they are old enough they might come here to get a job and sent money to their families and maybe they can get a better opportunity to go to school so that they get a good education.( "All alone").(pg.8)."They will migrate again unless there is something here for them-jobs and schools and a lack of violence,"she says"./ I am afraid without those things, they will eventually try again." So it does seem that immigrants want a better life like for example they retry over and over again so that they get the chance to come . And also it shows that they really want something in their life to change.('' All alone'')( pg.8) That is why I think they are both the same by what it shows>

Enrique`s Journey and the article "All Alone" relates to each other is that both show how the struggle are for the children who cross the boarder. I say this because according to the article "All Alone" stated, "Children are frequently on the front lines of killings, refusing to join gangs." ("All Alone"). Here the author is saying that the kids are facing dangers that they are facing in an early age. Which can lead to horrible results. But there is more, according to that story,"Enrique`s Journey", stated, "They must make an illegal and dangerous trek up the length of Mexico/ they are cold and hungry, with one a small piece of hope,/ that most are robbed, beaten, or raped, and even killed." (Nozario 4). Here here thousands of children are coming from far away places and have to encounter these types of situations that only adults face (most of the time). But not the children! They don`t know what their getting themselves into.(some due thought). But still my point still stands that children should act like children and not to had worries about their journey or ask themselves "Will I live tomorrow?" or "What or were will I live?" Bottom line is that children should act like children and not have worries that adults have. That is why EJ and "All Alone" relates to each other.

In "I'm Alone" it states, "Many of the smugglers are criminals themselves, often connected to drug cartels. So thousands of kids make the trek across Mexico themselves." Uncle Marco promises that this will be the last time./The thieves shoot Uncle Marco and Victor. Both die"(Sonia Nazario 2). In the article "All Alone" it states " Drug gangs control the streets, killing people with guns, knives, and even grenades( Brooke Ross 7). As you can see they are similar , people from Mexico and Central America go through the same situation.

Enrique's Journey and ''All Alone'' relate to each other because there are two young kids from Central America that are trying to go to the United States for a better life. Those two young kids can either make it or die because they are on their own when they make that journey. Their life is in danger by gangsters and smugglers and many other things.

Enriques journey and the article "All Alone" relate because they are both young kids that are trying to get to the united states without a parent or a guardian. They are both from central america and they have to risk their
lives when its time for them to pass through mexico and get in the trains. in brians story life on crossing to united states he has to wait till dawn and dusk to cross. And its sort of more easier for the kids to cross alone because of the smugglers called Coyotes pull up their vans to the mexican side of the rio grande the river that forms the border between texas and mexico then they unload dozens of childrens meaning that they will hide children in them to cross them to the border. and they both show their similar Enrique wants to find his mom and Brian wants to have a better life. And also other kids go through the same situation and its not easy.
