Our guest speaker for the Holocaust who shared his inspiring story with us.
I Never Saw Another Butterfly
As part of our Holocaust presentation, some 8th grade Nightingale students performed a play that showed the hopes, dreams, and daily activities of children in the Terezin Concentration Camp.
Butterflies Project
These butterflies will be sent to a Holocaust museum in Texas to commerate the death of 1.5 million children during the Holocaust.
A time I remember working so hard on was my science project for the science fair. I remember when I had all the materials ready. My sisters were ready to also help me settle it up. I had to do all my best to get a good grade on it. So I tried me effort to make it look good. I had to do everything it told me in the instructions to get it well and done. When I was done I think I did a great job on it. Even though I remember I spent a whole day on it! I knew I could do this and I did!
ReplyDeleteOne time when I was so determined was, during my science fair project. I really wanted to show my sister that she’s not the only one who will win awards. So I did my science project in chemistry of rust and magnetism. It turned to be very intriguing. I won an award at the science fair. I felt so proud. I really felt like all of my hard work paid off. So when I told her that I won science fair she complimented me. I actually tried my hardest.
ReplyDeleteOne time that I worked my hardest and tried my best is in 5th grade when I was doing the Isat. First studied for it all day next I went to sleep at 8:00 then woke up at a good breakfast then I went to school and tried my best on the test and hardest. I was so determined because I wanted to pass 5th grade I didn’t want to be stuck in 5th grade I wanted to pass on to 6th grade and learn new things. This was the time I worked the hardest and tried my best and this is why I was determined.
ReplyDeleteOne time when I worked my hardest was when I was working on a presentation for science it was the first presentation I ever did for a science class and since the presentation was on something difficult I had to do my best and make it my best work I worked with my group members on this presentation and we worked on it for two days and once we were done we thought it was great it looked great it sounded great and we had all worked so hard on this because of the research and all the links and the questions we had to answer, was all so difficult but we made it happen and I guess Mr. Estella our science teacher thought it was great to because he gave us an A, we were so nervous but went on with the presentation and it was great.
ReplyDeleteOne time when I was so determined was to earn money to but myself an i Pod touch. I was 11 years old and I really wanted a i Pod, so my mom said if I save at least half of the money, that she will pay half. I was so excited to get one so I did a bunch of chores and I even did a lemonade stand. When I helped with chores around the house, I would get at least 5 dollars each day. I would also help neighbors with chores like mowing the lawn, and taking their pets for walks and I would also paint their walls. I would get paid at least ten dollars each week per neighbor. When I finally had a little more than half the money, my mom took me to buy my i Pod. I was so happy because I knew that I paid for it as well. I was determined to buy that i Pod, by making money myself by doing chores because I t showed that I worked hard for it.
ReplyDeleteA time I worked my hardest and tried my best was the ISAT for 5th grade. I ended up passing it of course since I’m in 6th grade and I studied and always worked hard. I was so determined to pass because I knew I would have to go to summer school and repeat 6th grade. Also I knew my mom would punish me for the rest of my life and my whole family would be disappointed in me. Also I would not be with my friends and I would have to go through everything again. So that is why I was so determined to pass ISAT in 5th grade.

ReplyDeleteOne time I was inspired by Mr. Estela because it is amazing to learn about the world back then. I was also inspired because we did fun classroom activities. One of the activities we did as a class was making a turbine with cardboard. Another activity was trying to guess what was in a paper bag. The best part was when he took the class downstairs with second graders, which inspired me to work with kids. This was the time I was inspired

ReplyDeleteOnce time I was inspired was when I seen my friends grades and then took a look at mine hers where high and mine where low so I decided to try and make my grades better not like hers but something that would help me pass all my classes, so I started doing all my homework paid attention in class studied for tests and did all my work I was given to do in class. It was not at all hard I just did better and my grades went up a big amount enough that I am not failing any more classes so that was pretty good for me. I was expired by another thing once when I was like 7 or 8 I was watching sesame street and I seen the beginning the little song they performed all together in the begging of the show and I seen all the main characters all hugging and that was pretty cute so I went to my room graved my paints and some paper and started off painting an hour later I had my painting ready and when it dried it was supper cute and then I set it out to fry which took about another 45 to 50 min so after that was done I showed it to my mom and she thought it was really cute and those where the times I was inspired.
my inspiration is that there are alot of stuff that inspirates me is the art that they does in the street or at the places that they have these paintings in the things that they have in the gallerys that they have in the downtown in the chicago illinoise and that that is the first thing that inspires me to do stuff and that if one day we had to do an art projet in the school i would like to do that in the school and that then i would volenter to do the job and then to help the people learn how to paint
ReplyDeleteOne day when I was little I became a member of a team. They were always losing in each game. I got tire of losing so I now I got a lot to learn. Then finally they say I am out of this team. When I never going to give up.I now so day I made a goal.When we play I score a goal from half.Then since that day I new if I was determined And worked hard I do a lot of things.
ReplyDeleteOne day I noticed as I was walking I saw white things on the floor and I noticed that it was snow. Also I saw a lot of kids and adults playing on it they looked like they were enjoying playing on the snow. They were enjoying playing on the snow. I went to my house to change and do my homework and when I came outside more people were outside playing. Some people were throwing snow balls, some people were making snow angels, and some people were making snowman’s. This makes me realize that a lot of people like to play in the snow. Winter is an in incredible season because you can enjoy playing with your friends. Summer can be to hot and fall can be a bit chilly and you can’t really play outside with your friends. I believe that winter is a good season because kids like to play in it and because it is a lot of fun. Also because Christmas happens in that season and a lot of people like to celebrate Christmas because they get presents.

One day I was so determined to reed more faster and I was worked my hardest and I tried to reed every day for two months en I reed one day more en I was reading faster than ever. Little by little I will get faster.
ReplyDeleteThe time where I worked the hardest was when we had to do a poster for Mr. Estela it was the busiest weekend of my life. At first, my mom didn’t know that I hadn’t done the paper so she put me in the computer all morning long then we don’t have a printer so we had to find a place to go to print it. My mom said how about my cousin’s house they had a printer my brother said that we could print it but we had to wait until 5 o’clock because they had to go somewhere. So my mom didn’t want that so she called Marlen’s mom up and asked her and she said “Yeah sure that they would pick my sister and me up.” I printed everything out but I had pictures that came out without color they were black and white and we didn’t like how they look so they went to buy color ink for the printer and we printed the pictures out. We got home cut some of the paper paste it on the bored thought it looked good so I went to sleep it was around 9 but I felt like I went to sleep at 12 o’clock in the morning.
ReplyDeletethe time that i tried the hardest was in the summer when i was playing baseball.it was because there was a big game coming up so i wanted to be prepared.so what i did was try really hard at all my practices. and finally when the big game was here i was so determind to try hard an try and get a big hit i accually did. it was my first at bat of the game and i hit a three run home run. but as it turned out the whole team was determind to win the game. and we won the game 16-3. this shows that if you try hard and are determind you will succed at what you want to

ReplyDeleteThe day I worked my hardest was when my dad grounded me and my sister (because we were fighting). So he took me and my sister to work wet him. When we got there my dad made me and my sister pant a closet and we had a puzzled look in our face when he side that. When we were finish we hade paint allover our selves and the closet was panted tribally because it was our first and last time we panted. My dad walk in the room and started laughing. Sins that day me and my sister stop fighting …… when my dad is there.
ReplyDeleteOne time that I tried my hardest was to mow the lawn in thirty minutes. I ahd tro mow the lawn in thirty minutes because I had to go to school. I had to run with the lawn mower but also watch out for glass bottles and make sure that all the grass is cut. I cut the grass from the side of my house first when I almost went over a beer bottle. When I cut the grass in front of my house. When I finished I put everything away and when I went inside of my house I checked the time and saw that I had an extra 10 mins.

ReplyDeleteThe time that I was inpira was when started to play soccer with my friends at the park and this guys shows up an does ansome soccer tricks and mostly the people in the park were amaze by his trick woth the soccer balland I was amaze to because he did't even let to ball touch the ground. that make me realiz that I want to be a good soccer player when I get older.
ReplyDeleteA time when I tried my hardest was when I tried to do a back bend in gymnastics but I couldn’t. I fell on my back every time and when I would get up my head would start to hurt. My sisters helped me by putting mattresses on the floor so I can practice my back bend. After I practice a couple a times I was able to do a back bend. When I got to my gym my couch was so proud of me. I was determined to do my back bend because mostly everyone in my gym class knew how to do one so I wanted to learn how to do one too.
ReplyDeleteA time that I tried my best was when I was in 6th grade. I wanted to get good grades because my mom didn’t let me play my games, use my computer, or watch TV because I got bad grades before. When I got my progress reports again they were as bad as my last one. Even though I tried to do my best I didn’t get good grades. I really like to do all does things so when I couldn’t do use none of them for almost 2 weeks I got mad and when I was mad I didn’t feel like doing my homework. I couldn’t even go outside because it was cold. I tried to do my best but I still got bad grades.
ReplyDeleteThe time I worked the hardest and tried my best was when the Isat came last year. What happened was that the Isat was like about a week away and each night I studied my time tables because I knew that there was going to be a lot of multiplying in the math test. So, I studied and studied until the Isat came. But when we began the test I forgot about every thing It was like if I didn’t studied for anything . I was so determined because I thought that I was NOT going to pass 5th grade.That was the time i worked my best!!
ReplyDeleteOne day, I was playing with my friends soccer at the park and my friend were 10 and 11. We were playing but then three other guys who look like about 13 or 14 wanted to play with us. We said yea so we had friendly match on 3 vs 3, about 20 minutes later they had scored about 10 goals but we only had 6. By that time I rage and tried my hardest and I was playing really good. We were about to finish with a score of 14 to 15. But they had score the last goal I had a fun day and it was a good match. I was being so good because I focus more on the ball and my opponents. I think the lesson is when you try you could encocer anything.

ReplyDeleteOne time I was determined was when I wanted to beat my friend in soccer but he always beat me so I kept trying and trying until one time he was worn out and was becoming slower. That was the time I went there and to the ball away from him and finally beat him in soccer. At that time I was very determined to win and my determination paid off because I did win that time.
ReplyDeleteSomething that I worked the hardest is doing my homework it was so long, it was like 5 or 6 pages long and I did everything. The next day I was ready to turn in the homework but when it was time to go the teacher didn't collect it. Days passed and the teacher never collect it I was so angry that the teacher didn't collect it. The next day that I went to school I turned the homework in and the teacher took it, she asked me what was this and I told her that it was the homework from the other day. She took it and she said that it was going to be for extra credit. I was so happy that I was going to have extra credit. I was determined because I wanted a grade for the hard work that I did I didn't want to give up to turn in the homework and have to do the work and not have credit of what I did.
ReplyDeleteI went to my cuosn Qesenera and we doing the all the steps and it was hard to do the steps that we are doing and my brother and sister and me and I was trieding doing the steps and I already got it from all the steps because the first time I cann`t due it and the second time I can`t due it either and the three time I got it and I know now all the steps because I tried like three times and I worked hardest that I can do.
ReplyDeleteOne day i notice that i got b on progress report and Mr.Mr.Rigas is the bestest teacher ever because he gives people very good grades. that's why i like him for a teacher forever and i won't leave him for the next few weeks after we are done for six grade and then going to seventh grade next after the isat test.I am going to make my good grades to pass the grade.
ReplyDeleteWhat happen was this time when my dog escaped then i began to chase him. he was so fast i couldn't keep up so it was a really long chase. when my dog was about to fully run away that's when i felt speed, power, and determination. then suddenly i ran twice as fast and finally caught him and brought him home.
ReplyDeleteonce i was doing my home work and my dad said i sould join a basketball team. i said shure so i did. At first i didn't know how to play and got mad and felt like quiting, but i knew that if i quit i would do that to any other sport i join so i didn't quit and i got better at it so know i play it i the summer.
ReplyDeleteThe day that I worked my hardest was when it came to be Isat I felt pressure I thought that I wasn't going to make it my teacher saw how worried and preatty pressured I was and she gave me a bathroom break I actually didn't went to the bathroom I just thought should have believe and determination when I went back to class I felt really determined I got right to my test and when I finished it felt a big relife that I was done.

ReplyDeleteThe time I had worked my hardest and really tried my best was when I was home alone with my little brother my dad and my big brother went to the garage to do some work and my mom went to work but the thing was she was really sick and she hated to go to work so she could get money to feed us so I wanted to make her feel happy so I decided to clean the hole house like Cinderella only my mom was not mean so I did even dough it took me almost the whole entire evening I wanted to make my mom really happy I worked really hard and clean every single thing in the house and when she came back from work she looked so happy that it look like she wanted to jump out of her shoes then she run to me and gave me a big huge and she told me that she was very glad she hated the best daughter in the whole world and that she was felling much more better.

I was shoveling cement with my dad and he was making a floor in front of his client’s house I had to fill bucket after bucket until 3 pm. We started working at 8 am in the morning. The reason I was working so hard is because that’s the only time I get some time with him alone.

ReplyDeleteIn fourth grade, I was doing the ISAT and I had 23 questions left and I only had 5 minutes. It was math and what I did was logicaly guess. In the end I got 99% better than the nation overall!
ReplyDeletewhen i was 8 years old i wanted to learn to ride my bike but i was scared every day when i went outside to play with my cousins my dad said to learn how to use my bike but i was scared i would fall off my bike and hurt my self till one day when i went outside to play my cousins wanted to play also my brother and 10 year old aunt they all wanted to play bike races and i didn't play because i didn't know how to ride a bike then a few minutes later m y aunt was tiered and went inside and left her bike out my grandpa graved the bike and told me to get on the bike so i did he graved the bike from the front and drove me back and forth in my neighborhood then i was trying so hard to ride my bike but i kept falling to the ground then my grandpa graved the bike from the back and pushed me fowered and then i was riding my bike by myself.
ReplyDeleteIt was a hot September day. I was out in my cousin’s huge backyard with the grass cut and the sun shining on us. We were playing basketball and my cousin and I decided to face each other. He played basketball with me earlier in the year and beat me silly. I had trained so I could beat him and show myself I am good. I don’t know why but that loss really struck me in a hard way. I wanted to really beat him to show I am good at sports. I think I wanted to show myself I’m better more than show anyone else. I did do better than my cousin so I won. It was a day that I was inspired to do good to show myself I’m great at sports.

ReplyDeleteThe time i worked my hardest is on my first day of ISAT's I was in 3rd grade. I was so worried of not passing. My teacher would get us scared from it like saying when you get to sixth grade and when you take the ISAT's again and if you fail you have to go to summer school. I tried to do me hardest on the big test, but the thought of remmbering what my teacher said got me distracted and lose hope in myself. Luckily i got over it and at the end i passed. Then i thought what a relif! and know im getting ready for my 4th ISAT test.

ReplyDeleteOne day I was working hard on my science project and my only inspiration my cool dad he is always with me in bad times and good times we always have fun and he understands advices and me and helps me in everything although he corrects me sometimes I’m lucky to have a dad like him or else I be playing instead of doing homework. Today we enjoyed two soccer games on TV and we did eat while seeing and right now I am writing this homework but I m exhausted my dad cant avoid this.
One time that I worked the hardest is last year I was trying to run the fastest of all of the girls on girls on the run. I was trying to run faster than my pace to be a faster runner. I was running every day to get use to running. I was scared that the teachers were going to tell me to pick up my pace. I was so determined because I was worried that I was going to be the last one running.

So the next I went to school and starred to pay as much attention all day to my teacher. The next day we were going to take a quiz for science and I forgot to study so when the teacher gave me that paper I had to think and guess all day. ReplyDeleteThe time that I worked my hardest and tried my best at it was when I was going take a quiz in first grade about mathematics. It all happened the teacher said that we needed to take our math books home to practice for the quiz. Then when I got home I started to practice real hard and started to ask my sister to make some math problems for me so that I could do practice even more. Until the next day, when I needed to take the test, I was really nervous about it until I saw the test and I started saying that it was easy to get an A on it because I already had known the answers. The next day was when I was going to see my grades on the test, I was really excited about it until I saw my grades and got a C on the test and I was worried because I tried my best at it. I was so dertermined because I really wanted to get a good grade on it so that my parents could be proud of me.
ReplyDeleteOne time that I have worked so hard and tried my best was in 4th grade. I was working so hard for the Isat that i wanted to do the best so people i know will be proud of me. When I got my resolts the next year I did excellent.
ReplyDeleteOne Day I notice that I was having some troble with my reading homework. Then later when I come back from the store i feel more refresing,then i go to my room and strt right away to understand it and the next day i get it correct.i was so determinec because i had been doing all the 6th grade classe so i had to take a brake frome all the home work and i fellt that i was never going to finish it.
ReplyDeleteOne day I was struggling wit some of my math home work and what I did is that I whet up stairs and then down stair and I sat in the couch I got up I went to my bothers room I went to my mom’s room I even went out side whit my dog finally I went inside the house and I remembered that Mis.Correa etched us some ways of turning fractions into desimals. The next day at school I got 100 precent in my home work.
ReplyDeleteThe one time that I worked my hardest and tried my best was when I went fishing with a friend. I tried my very best to catch a fish but I didn’t catch a single one. I was so determined because it was the first time that I went fishing and I really wanted to see if I was good at fishing but I guess I was wrong.
ReplyDeleteOne day I was at ballet and I had to do a split I thought OMG how am I going to do a split it’s really hard. We started to stretch on the floor that is when they said split time. I was really scared but I tried. Guess what I did do the split but because I had almost 3 years in ballet it was really easy but I didn't know it. I was really surprised about what I could do.
ReplyDeleteI was determined of doing the split is because if you can do the split you can do more tricks in the routine they give us. Another way I was determined was I really wanted to do the split because it was great for my reputation about dance. It’s like not being able to add or subtract if you don't know how to do that your weird so if you can’t do a split your weird in ballet.
The first day of school I thought that 6th grade was going to be easy but when I got my progress report I got C’s, A’s, and B’s. But I wanted to get only A’s and B’s and I tried to work really hard but still my progress report where the same. One day I said to myself what if I read books on the classes I had from and I went to the library I checked out a book about Writing, Reading, Science, Social Studies, and even a Math book. I read them day after day and finally I finished reading all of the books. After the winter vacations my progress reports have changed these two quarters I have only A’s and B’s and that was my big accomplish. I was so determined because I hated it when I C’s in my progress report or in my report card pick up.
ReplyDeleteOne day we were going to make our shadoof for social studies and i thought it was going to be good but then one of our parteners was playing around and we didnt do well.
ReplyDeleteThe time I worked my hardest was in 5th grade when we were taking the ISAT tests. What happened was I was nervous and worried that I might fail so I kept on studying for anything that might be on the ISAT. I was determined to pass because ISAT tests are pretty important in Illinois. Another reason why I was so determined because I don’t like getting bad test scores when the ISAT is the most important test of the year. So I spent a lot of time studying to prepare for the ISATs. I studied for that test every night and when I got the test I tried fill in the bubbles with the right answer. That was a time that I worked my hardest and tried my best.
ReplyDeleteI was really determined to teach my dog how to sit down when commanded because that show discipline and it made him more obedient. I had to be really patient with him because teaching a dog a command or a trick requires a lot of patient. I was really determined. At first I got frustrated but then I started to think they don’t understand are language. Is like having a conversation with Chinese person but you don’t know Chinese and everything sounds strange. It is the same with dogs they don’t know our language. The next day that I tried teaching it to him I used treats to regard him if he listens or tries to. That made the dog determined and pleased that he is getting treats. After a while when I said sit he will sometime he will take a while to simulate what I said but he would sit. When I showed my parents that my dog, when said sit, sat they were impressed that made me feel very good. Then I got determined to show my dog other commands. While I was learning to be more patient we (me and my dog) had fun especially him that good rewarded for being a dog. That was one time I was determined.
ReplyDeleteThe time I worked the hardest is to make the swimming team. I had spent almost all summer in my swimming pool training to make the team. I was trying so hard I was so determined to make the team. I imagined my self making the team and winning the championship award. I was really exited to go and finally try out and to hear the words you made the team! I continued working extra hard for the few days before the tryouts. The day had come to try out. I was really nervous I just didn’t want to look up and see the coaches say no you didn’t make the team. My turn had come I was shaking. I just remembered all the hard work I had put into this all my practice I was ready and I kept in mind all the hard work I had done a few weeks before. I was so determined to make the team that I didn’t let anything get in my way. My turn was done I thought I had done a great job and so did my mom and dad. Unfortunately not the coaches. I didn’t make the team. I was sad for a moment but I really didn’t dwell on it because I knew that next summer I would try out again and maybe I would make it. I asked the coach why I didn’t make it he said there was only a limited of spots on the team and that they only accepted the kids that were the fastest. He had said that I was fast but there were still other kids that were a little bit faster than I was. He also said that they were a little bit older than me and that was probably why that they got in the team. He said to try out next year because they could use me one the team. I was still a little sad but I didn’t care so much any more. I think I was really so determined was because I really love to swim. That is what I mostly do on summer vacation. I just really loved to swim and joining the swimming team would be a great way to do what I love.
ReplyDeleteOne day i went to work with my dad in the construction. We had to work really fast and hard to finish that day. we were working building out a big garage it was not so easy to do this. My dad and i were working really hard. I was doing all my best in watching not to step in the nails that were in the floor.My best was carring a lot of heavy woods like 7 at at time. This was the day i had to do a lot of work and my best.
ReplyDeleteOne time that I was inspired was when i went camping with my family They had dared me to go into the woods at night and they would give me $40. So, I needed some inspiration, then they each went halfway into the woods, and they all told me it wasn't that scary. So, I went ahead and went into the woods. I tried my best to not be scared, and soon enough, I was in the woods and I wasn't scared at all. I just heard a lot of noises in the bushes, so that was enough to scare me silly. I went running our, but the whole point is that I tried my best to go through how scared I was to go into the woods, and thats why. I was determined because I wanted those $40. And thats what happened that day.
ReplyDeleteOne day that I work the hardest was when it was my sisters party and I had to clean up the whole yard. I had to sweep, clean the dog house, wash the yard, and rake the leafs. That day I was very exhausted but it was worth it, even though it was hard work, at the end it came pretty good.
ReplyDeleteIn one thing that I worked so hard and tried my best was on dancing class. I tried my best and I was in 3rd grade. I tried my best because my parents came to see me and I had to do my best so I can show them how good I was in dancing class. I was so determined because I really like to dance and because my dad said if I was doing my best that I didn’t have to get nervous or anything. So when I did the show I was excited but I did get to do it and my dad said I did a great job and that’s why I like to dance but not In front of persons/ people
ReplyDeleteOne time that i worked my hardest was in 5th grade when we were doing the ISAT. I went to sleep at 9:30am and i woke up at 7:30 and my mom made me breakfast. I went to school and we started doing it i was so nerveous so i tried my best. I was so determined because i wanted to go to 6th grade i didnt wanted to stay in 5th grade, i wanted to learn new stuff.
ReplyDeleteOne time that I worked hard was on sewing something for my aunt’s dog. The dog needed something to wear because it bearly has any fur. I tried tried and tried to sew it I finally had it, it really looked nice. I put it in my mom’s closet because I know it wouldn’t get lost. Few days after I had to go to my aunt’s house. I looked im my mom’s closet and didn’t see it. The look on my face was really upset, after so many hours sewing. I was never to sew ever again.

But I wanted to get only A’s and B’s and I tried to work really hard but still my progress report where the same. One day I said to myself what if I read books on the classes I had from and I went to the library I checked out a book about Writing, Reading, Science, Social Studies, and even a Math book. I read them day after day and finally I finished reading all of the books. After the winter vacations my progress reports have changed these two quarters I have only A’s and B’s and that was my big accomplish. I was so determined because I hated it when I C’s in my progress report or in my report card pick up.
ReplyDeleteThe time I worked my hardest was in 5th grade when we were taking the ISAT tests. What happened was I was nervous and worried that I might fail so I kept on studying for anything that might be on the ISAT. I was determined to pass because ISAT tests are pretty important in Illinois. Another reason why I was so determined because I don’t like getting bad test scores when the ISAT is the most important test of the year. So I spent a lot of time studying to prepare for the ISATs. I studied for that test every night and when I got the test I tried fill in the bubbles with the right answer. That was a time that I worked my hardest and tried my best.

ReplyDeleteA time that I worked my hardest and tried my best was when we had to do a science project for the science fair, because I had to do a great job on it in order for me to get a high score and a high grade on it and posibly be one of the people who got chosen to compete in a competition to see who got the best one but I didn’t get chosen for it. Also that is I time when I worked my hardest and tried my best because I had to put a lot of effort and creativity into the project, and so in order to do that I had to work really hard and try to do my best. That is the time I worked hard and tried to do my best.
ReplyDeleteOne day, I worked out really hard on dying my cousin’s hair because she wanted it color black, and it was going to be her wedding the next day. I had a hard time on dying it because I only know how to do mine because with other people I can’t. She didn’t want to pay other people so she told me to dye her hair. I tried my best though. Then what happen was that I burned her hair and she got mad at me, I went to the store and bought a shampoo for her hair. I was going to try again to dye her hair. I was really determined because I knew I was going to know how to dye her hair this time for sure, so then like two hours passed and I could dye her hair.
ReplyDeleteOne day our library teacher gave us a project. She gave bone day our library teacher gave us a project. She gave us our assignment and the poster paper. So right away when I got back to home I started to work on the project so I got the answers typed it and decorated and made it look all presentable . When I got to school all the other projects looked messy and if they latterly just grab the answer from their notebook ripped it out and glued it were it just landed. So after the judging I won 1st place so all my hard work pay off.
ReplyDeleteOne time I worked really hard at something was when we were having a test in science. I worked really hard and studied really hard at it. When the test was right there I knew all the answers and got an A on the quiz and I learned that working really hard at something can make you better at something like studying. So one time that I was inspired to do something was when we had the quiz I really studied and passed.
ReplyDeleteOne time that I was very determined was when my parents said we would go on vacation but we had to be good and earn money to help (Soon we learned we didn’t have to it had been just a way to keep us busy!). I wanted to get out of school so badly so what I did to earn money was that I babysat my little brother. That took care of my money and Andy’s behavior my baby brother. That only left my little brother Angel. And since he is older than Andy he understood better. I told him that if he behaved well I would play with him every time he wanted to play! (Every day) That is what I did in a very determined way.
ReplyDeleteO ne day when I worked my hardest is when I really wanted a game what I did is I try to get $30 dollars but I got more than that I got $60 dollars I didn’t know how did I did that. What happened is that I was helping my dad and mom a lot that how I got all that money.
ReplyDeleteThe one time I tried my hardest was when I was in 3rd grade and was about to take the ISAT for the 1st time. I was worried because I didn’t know what it was like and was worried that I would mess up and fail. So the night before I slept early and tried to get a good sleep, so I could do well.
ReplyDeleteI remember once when I was about nine years old until last year I used to watch my brothers every day when my mom went other places. Then one time my cousins came over and my mom went to sleep over her boyfriend’s house so I had to watch my brothers for the whole night. My cousin Jose came over too so I had a little help. I had to go to the store to get them some food then I had to put them to sleep by playing, fighting, or whatever you want to call it to get them to shut up and go to sleep. Later on we ate some of the leftovers and then I went to sleep on the couch and my cousin slept on the other couch because my brother was hogging up all the space.
ReplyDeleteOne day I went to Social Studies and we had a project to do. We had to make a shadoof. A shadoof is something that holds water, it’s made of sticks and branches and what it is that one end has rocks and the other end has a bucket of water. We had a plan, Joshua would bring the rocks, Jose brought the sticks, and I brought the bucket. We had a week to finish it. When it was time to turn it in we had already finished it. I think our shadoof was the best one in the class. That was the time I had to work hard.
ReplyDeleteOne time when I was so determined was, during my science fair project. I really wanted to show my sister that she’s not the only one who will win awards. So I did my science project in chemistry of rust and magnetism. It turned to be very intriguing. I won an award at the science fair. I felt so proud. I really felt like all of my hard work paid off. So when I told her that I won science fair she complimented me. I actually tried my hardest
