United We Win

In your answer, make sure you address all of the questions below:
What message do you think the poster above is trying to get across? (In your answer be sure to address the fact that there is both a white man and a black man in the poster). Why do you think this message is important during war? What might have been happening in America that might have made a poster like the one above necessary? How might a black person feel viewing this poster during WWII? How might a white person feel viewing this poster during WWII?

The message i think the author is trying to get across is that the two men in the poster unite to fight in a war,i think it means that it doesnt matter what the persons raise is.I think this message is important beacause it tells a person that anyone thatwants to help during war can help doesnt matter what country you live in or color.I think the 2 pepole in the poster whould feel proud and useful.

  6. I think the message the poster is trying to get across is that white people and black people could all work together without fighting. The message is important during the war because it would incourege them to make friends and work better.A black person and a wight person will feel the same way of wanting to make friends and quit slavery and all the hating.

The message that I think the poster is trying to get across is that if we don’t united as one then we will never finish what we had started. Also I think the poster is trying to say is that if we do work together then we will get to our goal that we are trying to go for as an country. I think this message is important during the war is because African American were not treated the same as the white people and we ended up fighting with each other instead of coming together as one we were falling in two pieces. The African Americans would have been happy because then they wouldn’t be different from the white people. Some for the white people would not like that because they do not like the idea of backs and whites working together. Some whites would be happy because they think it’s a good idea that whites and blacks work together because they think that they are people to and they should not be treated different because of the skin that they have.

  9. I say its trying to say that we can end rasicm n we work better toghter blacks and whites if we can just get a long. That poster would be important in war because it will show that we can get a long and we should stop the war. Racism and africans being captured n force on being slaves thas why they made this poster. A black person may have felt happy that tehir is a chance to stop racism. A white person may feel mad angry that they put a poster and that the poster is a lie.

I think that the message the poster is trying to get across is that the whole United States is going into WWII and they are going to fight as one nation no matter the color, race, and how you look like. I think that this message is important during war because if you are living in one country and you get attacked and then the nation goes into war because of that attack it is important for everyone that is living in that nation to work together.

I think that there was racism going on in the United States from the whites to the blacks and so this poster shows that instead of fighting the whites and blacks should work and fight together. The blacks might think, “Yeah right. The whites would never go near us, why would they work with us.” And the whites might not want to work with the blacks. They probably would say, “I’m not going to work with blacks. Why should I?

  11. This message is saying that together we can win the war. This message is important since it will keep or at lease try to unite people during the war. Since there is both blacks and whites living in America racism has taken course and that spits the blacks and whites apart which is very bad. It's good for a black to see this because it shows they are part of the USA and it's important for a white to see this so they know they have to respect the blacks since they ca help us more than we think.

I think a white man would be would nit be happy seeing a color man in the picture.

I think that what might have been happening in America during the time was that race didn't matter at that time

  17. i think it is stating that all the people should work together and not fight even though they are different race. this message is important during war because it shows that all people should not fight. i think if a black person sees it he is going to cross out the white dudes face same to the white.

  18. I think that the message is trying to get across that it doesnt matter what race you are, you can still work together. I think its important especially during War because thats when they needed the most help and it didnt matter if you are black or white. I think WW2 was happening. A black person might think that we helped WW2 and the same goes to White people.

I think the porster above is trying to telln us the both whites and african american can work together. And that if a white can do something so can the black.
I think this message is important during the war because the balcs were discriminated.
I think discrimination had to do with making this poster.
I think both black and whites will fell happy, because now in days they don't discriminte as much as they use to in war world 2.

I Think The Poster Above Is Trying To Get Across Is That Even If Were Diffretn Than Others We Can Still Be United As One, To Work Together And Make A Diffrence. IThink This Message Is Important During The War Because, If They DOnt Unite And Work Together They Wount Get No Where, And They WOunt Win. I Say That In America They Diren't Want To Unite Because They Were Diffrent Than Otheres; And That Poster Made Them Notice That It Wount Change Nothing If They Unite, Just They Can Win. I Think A Black &White Person May Be Felling Wierd Because They Wound't Imagine There Kind Being Together.

if a black men see that they will feel bad because black men abd white men don't get along so it would be bad for the black men.

Its good because that is showing a black and a white men getting along so its good to show the black and the white that it they don't have to fight they could work together.

I think the message here is that it's wwii. Wake up, if we don't work together America is going to lose the war! Enough with your games.Black or white we need to work together. It's important during the war because we need people black or white. We need as much help as possible.I think if a black person sees this he or she might feel more important. For the rascist tensions I think a white person will feel like what is going on black working with white's? Probably white's and black's were working together during wwii and to show this they made this poster.

I think that the poster is trying to say that being different color helps you work no differently then working with someone the same color. Also that even if theyres different people workin together with different color it really dont matter.I think that this message is withing war because it helps soldiers not judge people about their skin color or help them decide to work together. What was happening in america was that whithe people dint like black and neither did black people like white people. So this shows that any color you are dosent really matter. I think that both white and black people will feel offended and weird thinking that both skin colors can decide on working together.

  25. I think the message it is trying together across is that together we can win the war. I think this is important during the war because that way we will have more people to recruit and win the war. I think there was still tension between the African Americans and Whites, so this poster showed that we should put are differences aside and work together. An African American might feel more accepted by the nation now since they were included in the poster. A white person might be angry that an African American is on the poster.

That we could all work together and we shouldn't discriminated by our skin color.this was important because white people use to not get along with the blacks. There was a lot of discrimination back then. They would feel that after this poster they would be no discrimination. White people would n't like nothing to do it with.

  27. I think the poster is trying to get the knowledge across of no matter what color or race you are we'll still need each other to succeed.I think this message is important during the war because there was alot of racism. What might have been happening in America during the time that made the poster necessary is lots of racism.I think that a black person viewing this poster would feel good, and finally a part of the human race.I think a white person viewing this poster would feel insluted and angry.

I think the poster that is above is trying to say that if people work together no matter what skin color they are, they will accomplish thing better. This message is important during the war because their was alot of jobs available, and black and white people didn't mind working together. Probably because white and black people were working hard in their jobs and they made a poster of their hard work. I think if a black person views the poster they might feel proud because it doesn't matter if u work with a white because is not perfect. I think if a white perosn views this poster they might feel proud too becuase it doesn't matter of their skin color because is like working with a family member.

    ReplyDelete
  29. My point of view is that it don’t matter what color of your skin is we still need to work together no matter what . The message was important because the united state needed people to communicate and to get along during the war because we were all the same we were not different . The black probably would have felt bad because the whites always treated blacks wrong but we all need to get along. A white I guess they could of being judging his photo.

  30. The message the picture us trying to get across is how we should all join up and forget our differences and fight against our common enemy. White racist people wouldnt like the picture while normal people would think it was ok.
African Americans wouldnt be so quick to like working with the white people because of the racism that has acurred in the past and because of the original WWI and the waful conditions and all the deaths that acurred.

the message they are trying to get get across is working togther we make a difference both white and black. this poster was important during WWII because in the poster it said united we win. what happening in america right now is they just gone to war with japan, germany, and italy. this will go with whats happening right now because united with nations we win. how a black or white person will feel is they will take it as a act of rasism

  32. I think the message is trying to get across that if we work together we can accomplish anything, if we put our differences aside. I think this message is important during war because we will have more people not caring what our race is we can probably win the war more easily. I think that maybe when they were making the poster, people were probably that black people and white people were probably being discriminated against each other. I think a black person would feel happy to be part of the nation. A white person would probably feel not that happy.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I think that message is if we put our differences aside and work together anything is possible because back then Africans were still being discriminated and it made it difficult for white people who were racist to work with them. Since labor was needed in order to encourage people to work together they made this poster to show that when we put our differences aside we can do anything by showing a African American male next to Caucasian male working hard together. I think a African American might think that this poster an opportunity to show them that we just as good as whites and that we are no different from them. I think that people today might view this as proof that people back in WW2 were starting get along to get past this war.

The message I think the poster is trying to get across is together we can win at anything no matter who we are or what color we are. This message is important during war because this shows if we ban together we can defeat the oppressers who attack us. The event that must have been happening in America that caused a poster like this to be necessary is the depression. A black person during WWII might have felt happy because America should have equality. A white person during WWII might have felt happy because this poster shows that everyone has to be united to win.

  36. I think that the message that the poster is trying to send is that people should work together no matter what they look like or what believe in; that united we will win.For example, like picture of the black and white man working together.I think that this is important during the war because it might persuade black soliders and white soldiers that were kept in seperate units to fight together in the war.Racism was happening in America therefore the poster above was necessary to create a sense of unity. A black person might feel viewing this poster during World War II as raising hope in black soldiers the idea of equality.I think that a white person viewing this poster during World War II would have thought that this poster would make them angry because the blacks and whites were made out to look like they were united but they really weren't.

I think the picture/poster above is trying to state that race or skin color does not effect the way you love your country. I think it was important to have this message, going around during the war, because it would keep people from starting racist problems, making more issues during the war. Racism plagues america, i think that is what might have been happening, to make something like the poster above needed. I think a black man or woman would be just as surprised as a white man or woman. Only because, white people weren't very open to blacks in america.

This poster might of have been necessary to motavate people that everyone can work together no matter what race they are. 59. I think the message that the poster is trying to get across is no matter what color you are you can still work together and make things work.I think this message is important during the war because most of us will need a hand one day and we all can't depend on one race to help us whenever were in need.I think both races seen that they can come together and accomplish winning ww11 reguardless of your color or ethnic group.I think a african American male would react as discouraged because going through slavery and having to help and put toward his effort to help out the people who put Afican Americans race down for a long period of time. I think a white male wouild react as affended because all these years of discouraging African Americans now he has to put his feelings behind him and work with them. This concludes my explanation.........

  60. The mesasge that i think the poster is trying to get across is that it doesnt matter what race you are. You could be mexican, white or black but people still need your help. I think it was important during the war because people of dirrerent races were part of it. I think a war was going on and the poster was made to show that when people get together their succesful.

  61. What I think the message in this poster is people could work together wether they are diferent race, color or different religion. Also people could acoplish anything if they work together.Like Einstein was a Jew and Germany didnt aceept Jews so he went to the U.S. and helped the U.S.and we ended up winning the war for his help and for accepting the Jewish people. So if we accept people and not discriminate them then we could be a better country and a happier one too well thats what I think the message is of the poster.

I think the poster is showing that if blacks and whites stop being prejudice to each other they can work together and help win the war. They can start being friends instead of hating each other just because of their race. This was important because it showed that they can all become friends. The problem that might of happened was the lack of jobs for people which caused the whites to let blacks work together. A black perswon might of felt happy that they can finally work with other races and they won't be discriminated for it. Some of the whites that were viewing this might have been the prejudice type so they might of hated the poster other might of been happy.

  65. I Guess the Poster is trying to get Across with is that any Type of Race can work together as a team, like in ww2 a Black person and a White person can look at this and Realize that they can be proud one day for working together at War! But what of have been Necessary for making a Poster like that was that they were both types of race that were actually working Together at ww2 and remember that both can work together United, which is Important to them at War! That explains this Poster "United We Win" for these Good Reasons that describes those words and persons at the Poster Above.

  67. I think the message this poster is trying to get across is that no matter who we are that if we all work together we can win. Since both men of are different races it shows that we still can work together. This message might be important during war because maybe during this period of time their was alot of rascism and this poster would show that no matter how different we are we can only win if we work together. If a white man saw this during this during WWII he might have been outraged because they might not have liked that they were being shown working with a black man. If a black man saw this he might have been hopeful because they have to deal with people putting him down because he is black and not being able to do things and this might show that people are changing their minds.

  68. I think that the poster is trying to say that if you work together there will be a big difference. That no matter what color the skin is that shouldnt matter. Well, I believe that the real message that this poster is trying to get across in this WWII poster is very simple. This poster will show how people should put aside their differences and work together to prosper the victory to the allies, fighting against each other will not help win the war! This message will influence people to work together till the end. I would also say that this will give a bigger influence to the African Americans and whites to side away the segregation and triumph to win. That is the real message this poster is trying to get across.

  70. that the poster whants to show that it involed in war and that we got to think that war isnt over and hasnt been gone or go away.people that survivied the war are fighthing for our country which that in america theres war in color and in white .and that together we can acomplish anything.that eventhere though in war there is any typer of race african and white fight in war .which both have type of streght .which is just how strong we are not how we look in our physical type.which that the war is still on but not thatr much affected.this is what i think that the poster is trying to tell.

I think the messege of the poster is trying to say that no matter what color, or race you are you can work together to get something acomplished. It doesn't make a difference of what or who you are, it's just the effort of getting something done for your country. If you discriminate people just by their color, or race, or whatever, then everyones gonna be like, 'Oh, their picky about their kind of people, so let's not work for them' and then, no ones gonna wannaa work for them, theeeeenn their isn't gonna be money made, just cause they didn't wanna work with someone different then them. So, this messege is representing peace, & love, & working together as a country regardless of what race you are.

  74. I think that the author is trying to get across that African Americans and Whites put their differences aside and work together. I think this message is important during the war because it shows that Whites and African Americans can work together with peace and forget that Whites were being racist to African Americans. It made peace between them and just accomplish on working and getting things done, even though there might be tention still. I think a black would feel good to see a white and a black person working together, And getting pass WW2. A white person might of felt good because it shows that we got passed WW2 and that were all equal.

  75. The message the poster is trying to get across is that no matter what color you are or race when you are together or when people work together they accomplish it even more because it takes a group of people to become the best. I think this poster is important to the war because there was probably many kind of people there and probably many descrimination against eachother and this poster maybe helped them relize that everything will work if they united no matter what. I think there was many descrimination during the war against the people which caused them to get distracted and didnt pay much attention to the war and that was bad because then they would lose.I think a black person wouldve probably felt good about themselves since they are the ones getting more discriminated no offense or anything but they do so i think this poster might have made them felt better.I think that when a white person saw this poster they relized that no matter what race the other people were together they would win and that would help them win the war.

  76. To me this poster is important to the war for the fact its telling that everyone in the U.S.A should work together to help on war efforts. Now the reason why they would do this is probably the fact that there was racial tension going on between the whites and the blacks. Now in the way I feel a black man would feel this is propaganda trying to get blacks to join the war by telling them that both them and the whites are going to have the same equal rights yet as we all now segregation was still in affect up until the 60's. Now a white man will see this as a positive thing telling them that everyone is volunteering in the war effort. Now in the end I feel the message is propaganda trying to get everyone to help out in the war.

  77. I think that the message the poster is trying to get across is that if we are united than we can outcome anything. In the poster you see that a black men and a whithe men are working together. During the war it wasn't time to be descriminating, it was time to be united because we couldn't just be fighting against each other

I believe the poster is trying to say that it doesnt matter what ethnicity your are but you can work with whom ever you like. I think a African American might think that this poster is an opportunity to show them that we just as good as whites and that we are no different from them.

I think this poster means that no matter wat skin color but working together its the best. This poster auctally means together we can. I think when a black man sees this poster feels proud because they didnt care about his color of skin also for withe they feel proud for serving for there country. I think this poster means a lot for black or white because it shows together we can...

  80. The message that the poster is trying to get across is that It dosent matter what race color we are , We can be united and work with one another . This message is important during the war because we should fight with who ever we are put to fight with & we should not discriminate !!!! Something that might be happening that this poster would be represented is maybe Blacks or Whites are being prejudice against one another . I think that Whites & Blacks should feel proud of seeing this poster during World War 2 because they can all cooporate with eachother and end all the racism in the world .

  81. i think the message the poster is trying to show is that no matter what color they are black or white they can and they should work together and they will succede more.I think that it was important during the war because in the war black and white men had to work together if they wanted to survive and win. What mught be happening is that the nation is in desperate need of anyone they can recruit. A black person seeing this would most likely feel a sence of equality. A white person seeing this might feel a sence of nationalism in which everyone is an essintial part of success.

The message I think the poster is trying to get across is; We are all equal. I think that message is important because slavery had been over for just a few years before. I think a black person might feel like the poster was okay. For the most part a white person would think the poster is also okay, unless they were one of the people that liked slavery then they might not have liked the poster.

  83. The message the poster trying to get across is that we are all different were not the same but we should work together one is white and the other is black in this poster. This is important in war because they don't see color they see inside one, how they act , how they are. They don't look at them as black or white. I think what had happen that they made a poster was the blacks and whites were not getting along in war and though they couldn't trust eachother based kn there color. I white person looking at this would fell like why would try use them as this like it's prejudice also a black person would fell the same way.

  84. I think that the message that the poster is trying to get across is no matter what color or race you are in we are united.I think that the poster was important during the war because there might of been racism during the war. I think both black and white persons would of felt very good because there wouldn't of be any more hate.

I think the poster is trying to say that together we can accomplish anythin. It doesn't matter what color your skin is or if your tall or short, as long as the job gets done. If your making a gun to fight in the war, the soldiers arent going to ask who made it? There just going to use it. During World War 2 if a black person saw this, they would feel like this poster is true. Together we can defeat the Japanese during WW2, because there will be more men fighting for the country they love. Nationalism doesn't cepend on the color of your skin if you love your country you should fight and i think that's what the poster is trying to say.

  86. i think the that poster is trying to say is that we don't matter wat color you are but together we do every thing.wat imean is that we could do everyting and we don't care wat color we are. like if aim black n some other kid is white n we are walking to the street n we see trash in the street n we go pick it up n we don't care wat color we are and we did somthing together n we don't care wat color we are.
