I Never Saw Another Butterfly
As part of our Holocaust presentation, some 8th grade Nightingale students performed a play that showed the hopes, dreams, and daily activities of children in the Terezin Concentration Camp.
Butterflies Project
These butterflies will be sent to a Holocaust museum in Texas to commerate the death of 1.5 million children during the Holocaust.
My favorite memory during 8th grade was when our school Nightingale entered one more time the Mckinley park's basketball league. We were happy, excited for revenge, and nervous too. My team and I stood on the basketball court awaiting to begin our last championship game. Because we were in 8th grade and we were going to graduate so we had to give it our best to win. Still we were undefeated and going to become champs for the last time.
ReplyDeleteWhen the referee blew the whistle we became beasts. Like a snake suffocating its pray little by little that's what we were doing to the enemy. We were unstoppable at the end we won and became undefeated champs. We were so happy and sad at the same time because it was going to be our last time. I will never forget that memory and that feeling.
My favorite memory of being in the 8th grade was being in the basketball team. It was fun going to practice and having laughter with the team. I remember our first game at mckinley park. That game was so funny because it was tyra's first game ever at playing basketball.
ReplyDeleteSo she was in starting 5 with me and i was about to pass it to her when she slid across the court. I tried not to burst out laughing because it was game but i still kinda laughed.
I'm never going to forget that day ever. Especially since we won the championships twice! We are undefeated I'm really going to miss playing as a team. Next time i see them ,ight be in the court against them.): Some are still going to be in my team.!! Good memories that I had in Nightingale halls.
My favorite memmory of 8 grade was when they told us that we were graduating.that was the best part.i like when they told us that because i got so happy but i understand for some people was sad cuse they find out that they werent graduating.on the other side of happyness but i didnt,i was just huging my gurl and we weri was graduating and i got so happy i wanted to cry e just saying omg we graduating togather,we going to downtown.it was so exited.
ReplyDeletethe best thing of graduating is that your parents feel do proud of you and they hug you or drow you a party to celebrate your day.but this tyime i dont know what there gunna do.im just so happy im graduating and that was my favorite memmory from 8 grade.(: i love selena(;
It was a decision that i had to make, either i join the Beauty and the Beast or just be home bored. I wanted to join becuase my friends were going to be in it but i wasn't sure if i wanted to. It took a while before i agreed that i would join the play, plus it would be alot of fun to be with my friends.
ReplyDeleteI did end in the play and it was much more fun than what i thought it would be. I enjoyed acting and playing around. Probably because my part was a silly girl and that was how i was suppose to do. Every teacher told me that Ana, Nubia, and me did a good job and that we were the main ones. i was really happy to hear that because we weren't the main characters. I enjoyed doing the play with my best friends. I will never forget on how silly we actually looked up stage. A memory i will never forget!
My favorite 8th grade moment was when we were in class and then we started to talk and i left to the library then i came back and we started talking more then i went to do something else and when came back i was going to sit down and alex moved the chair and i fell down it was so funny even thogh i was the one that fell it was my favorite moment because it made other people laugh even thogh they were laughing at me another reason why its my favorite moment is because i cant think of another funny moment
ReplyDeleteAs the crew got ready for the big show i was fixing my hair. People say i'm concided. Mr. Rigik talked to everyone in some room to get ready for the last big show. I was soo nervous i felt like peeing. as i got backstage and heard the music start i erased al my nervous thoughts of screwing up. As i went out there i performed like i never could mostly since my parents, and my girlfriend were there to see me. I erased the thoughts that i was jorge, and had the thoughts i was actually a beast. even though it was envarasing that the beauty was a six grader i still gave it my best. when the show was finished i cried because it was one of the best feelings i had< having the crowd cheering, and signing authographs to my fans. I will never forget that thanks to the play i would had never meet Angie. the play played a big role for me this year to leave 8th grade being hot and famous :)

Walking to school of 8th grade for the first time i was nervous and surprised to see that i was with some of my 7th grade friends. I was happy to see ms.silis because i have known her since 7th grade, and shes not those mean teachers. The first time i meet my classmates were speechless because i havent known some of them, and they dont know me. That was a favorite memory because it was my beginning of 8th grade.
ReplyDeleteone of my memory is when me and juan,eduardo,and markos it was 302 vs 306 like i use to be in 302 but they change me to 300 because we were troublemakers so than it was like on june 2th i was koming out of the play and we pas true the lunch rooom and i saw markos fightin whith juan and than other to peolpe stood and i just wen inside running and we started fightin so thats one of my memory in 8th grade i have more but this one is the best one .
ReplyDeletewell one of my memory is when we had a sub in my home room n then like since the teacher didnt really care if we would do nothing soo we went out of class me n my class mates n we were walking around the skool n we were going around n around it was really fun cus we would be hiding from the teachers n then we be going to classes dat we didnt supose to be in.then we would be meeting with other people m we would keep on walking around until like the whole day untill like 1pm until we got caught by the teacher we were upstairs n then like since we saw a teacher we went inside the restroom n hide n we acted like if we were using the the bathroom when the teacher came inside n caught us n took us to the office n then dey asked us questions n we would be lying to the teachers elling them datt we were going to the libary when we didnt n then they took us the the home room n told id nott to do it again soo then we stood n datt was one of my memorys in 8th grade
ReplyDeleteOne of the best memories in 8th grade was in Valentines day when Diana gave me a present for my birthday . It was so nice of her. I was really surprised and shocked because even ifthe present was small it was the feeling tyhat mattered the most to me. I can say that this was a good expirience because Diana and me always would be arguing but we always became friends again. This is one of the best expirience in 8th grade.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite memory of 8th grade was the beggining of the year on a rainy day when we came in to the auditorium when the teachers were seperating us into classes. then they called me into room 300. when i was leaving the auditorium to go to my new class i heard them call rubys name to 300. that was the best news because i wanted her to be in my class for the last year and we had to finish our memory book together of 8th grade the end of elementary school.together me and ruby are crazy we laugh over little things that aren't funny.people think were crazy but were not they just dont get it lol. we are the loudest together especially when we are with selena and us. I remember i got my first detention with her but this has been the last year and it was awesome i♥u ruby(cunada):)
ReplyDeleteEveryone has fun & stupid time with there friends, after messing up or feelinq like an idot, after a while you leran to just think its funny.Here is one of my favorite momments with my friend.!One day as me and my friend were walkinq. Lookinq for Ms.Silis, as I was sure she was in her room, my friend wasn't.So I followed my friend to see were she would look for Ms.Silis.

Feelinq like idots we left & kept walkinq like nothinq.This was a very funny momment that i rememeber exclaty what happened.! And probaly i will never forqet! It was one of my favorite momments as an 8th grader.!(:
My favorite memory of 8th grade was one particular gym period. I was laughing because were palying dodgeball and many people got hit in face or plain just missing all retarted about it. Then someone else threw the ball and they hit someone all funny about it. Lucky for me i dodged all the balls threw at me. But i had good laughs out of that. And that was my favorite memory of 8th grade.

my favorite 8th grade time was the gym because it was the most fun i had,it was still kind of boring.
ReplyDeleteIn my class 300 has alot of memories,but the 1 thing I could never forget was when Edwin pulled the chair from Fransico,y palos Fransico fell to the floor and everybody just started to laugh at him!!!!!

ReplyDeleteThroughout the whole 8th grade I've had alot of good meories. It was a good year for alot of people, including me(: . All year long i've waited for this day and it went just how i expected it to be like. But the best memory I've had in 8th grade will always be when we were all nervous in the classroom waiting for Ms. Silis to tell us who will graduate and who was going to go to summer school.
ReplyDeleteThat's a day i'll always remember and i'm pretty sure everone will because everybody in the classroom was just as nervous and anxious as i was, some were even starting to cry. When Ms. Silis announced the people that were going to go to summer school, and i didnt hear ma name i was soo happy. I felt like screaming because i was so excited for graduation and luncheon, and what made it better was that all of my friends will graduate with me.
That was my favorite memory in 8th because i worked so hard all year for that moment, ididnt even get suspended this year because i was staying outta trouble(: .. that's why this will always be ma favorite memory

Damn this yr was okay I guess. More bad than good but I guess it was okay. One of the best memories that I will always remeber is when I went to hang with my friends and 3 or 2 real good lokking girlas were asking me out, out of nowhere.
ReplyDeleteI was boaed out of my mind then they entered the train and started to whispere and were giggleling alot. Then 1 of the girls sat next to me saying "HI" or "Was up" something like that I don't know. It was kinda weird but it made my day, then gave me their phonenumber to hang out as friends or more than that I really don't care. After like at around 5 days laters we started to hang out alot because my girl split with me so I was free to do whatever I wanted hahaha. It was fun mostly because I had nothing alse to do so anything would be fun and stuff. We did a lot of stupid shit but I did have a lot of fun, and the funny thing is that I really didn't regreted.
Well one of my favorite memory in 8th grade was when Mr. Barr was saying that i didnt turn in my research paper. I was kinda man because I knew I had turn it in but he kept on saying that i didnt and that he couldnt find it. I was getting mad becaus ehe was like saying that I as lieing. Until today June 9 he found it it was funny i was kinda laughing because i knew i was right so yea that is one of my favorite moments cuz a teacher was wrong for the first time in 8th grade!

ReplyDeleteWell my favorite memory in 8th grade was when Alex was trying to sit down and then i moved the chair.(: And well yea thats the only good memory i guess because i can't remember anything else at the moment.. And also when we were in science and the teacher Mrs. Chistensen heard the phone ringing but it wasnt really ringing it just sounded like it and then she went to go check the phone and then Jorge said hello and Mrs. Christensen thought he was really on the phone and then yea it was funny.
ReplyDeletemy favorite 8th grade moment was when i was playing call of duty modern warfare with carlos and opy a.k.a. arturo. we were owning the noobs i had my shotgun and i was killing the people like crazy i kept getting uav's and airstrikes. i got 1 helicopter but the fags shot it down but i killed the with a gernade. we had 710 points the other team had 730 points so i just threw a gernade for the dun and out of now were it said victorya and i saw the kills column and it said that gio with a gernade kill symbol for times i was shocked i got the game winning kills. i started to swear at the noobs on the other team. it was awesome!
ReplyDeleteThe best memory of 8th grade is when i went to Springfield. We had to wake up really early so we can get there in time.When i got there the school i saw lots of friends there.We went to museums and went to eat. It was really fun because you hanged out with your friends.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite eighth grade memory would be when I joined the school play of Beauty and the Beast. I was so excited and nervous because it was the first time I would be "acting" on stage and I was a bit worried. I didn't know if I would be fine or if I would not be good. At the same time though I was excited because most of my friends had also joned and I knew we would have alot of fun together.
ReplyDeleteAnother thing that had me nervous was that the whole school would be watching us and that got me kind of scared. I wasn't completely sure of myself. When I saw that all of my friends were there watching the play I sort of started panicing and I got nervous. I got so nervous that I started stuttering my lines a bit. I got over it later on because I was able to calm myself down, and at the same time I saw that my friends were giving us alot of support cheering us and stuff. Also, I really didn't care what they thought,but I still was unsure. By the end of the play I got over it and was having alot of fun with the cast members.
Something that I really liked about being in the play was being with all of my friends that joned and missing class. It was fun missing class because we didn't need to worry about our work at that moment so all of our attention was set on the play. It was kind of a small break we had of our school work. When we had dress rehearsal and stuff it was fun to just hang aorund with all of my friends and talk about what was gong on. And when the time came to present the show, we were all together and it was just really enjoyable to get my mind off of school and into something else.
One of my best 8th grade memorie was in the caffetirea with 306. We were all in lunch when out of nowhere we were attacked by 306 so in deffence we thruw food back at them littel did they know we dont give up. So as we cleard our selfs of the corn we picked up the bred and thruw it at the attacker, the aim was right on target. we hit our attacker rifht in the face.
ReplyDeleteI this was one of my favorite 8th grade moments because after the fight our class cameout clean and we didnt get in troubel only 306 and we never said a thing to Ms.Brosius never found out a thing about this (P.S Ms.Brosius dont read this. Thank you)
Another reason was because we were the the best army espicialy with aim, speed, and throw. this was good because when we thruw something the techers didnt see a thing so thet was cool exept for leo who almost got us caught.
That made our bad day alot better and we left home feeling happy and sneeky so that was one of my favorite moment in the 8th garade.
The thing I remember about the most from 8th grade was Springfield. Why you might ask, it's because it was completely AWESOME! Also it awas the first time I ever went to Springfield. I've never gone on a trip with only me and my friends because my parents always go along with us.I like the bus ride the most because it was where we had the most fun and filled laughter. Cristal, Evelyn, Miguel, and I were all playing around, well actually everyone was fooling around. It was the miost fun i ever had in my 8th grade life.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite 8th grade memory is when we went to springfield.I chosed to write about this because I seen so many things I hadnt seen before.My favorite part of the ride was when we were in the bus.This was my favorite part because I got to talk to my friends,play around,and got a view of springfield.I remember that we went to this building were this lady gaved us permission to go in the governments office and take pictures there.While we were in the office in my mind I thought I never imagined in my whole life being in the governors office. The thing that I liked about the whole trip was that I went with my friends and that made it more fun and more memorable.
ReplyDeleteSwish! That was the sound I heard as people skated by me at the rink. I remeber that day well. Guadalupe, a friend from school, was having a party at a roller skating rink. We all decided to meet at her house. People that went were Guadalupe, Adrian, Letty, Yatz, Eduardo L., Fatima, Leo, and myself. Fatima had to do something so she met us over there later.
ReplyDeleteGuadalupe said that her brother was able to drive us. So we waited patiently as he was on his way to drive us. Once he came, we all piled up in his car, talking all the way there. But once we got there, we all got aggravated at Guadalupe. She had taken us there an hour early! We all were annoyed at her. But soon that anger turned to joy as we stayed at Burger King for an hour. We joked and chatted as the skating rink's opening time came nearer and nearer.
Soon the waiting time ended and we were allowe to go in. We paid and got our skates and slowly made our way to the rink. A few minutes after we began skating, I began laughing. Many of the other girls couldn't skate! They kept falling and laughing, as I did, too. So the boys decided to help the girls. I was shocked how easily the boys were able to skate, even though it was only their first time skating.
We skated for three hours straight, with almost no breaks at all. Until it was time to close. When we got back on the rug where people were taking off their shoes, some of us were very sore. Walknig, to me, felt like I had some concrete shoes. But we had to walk, once again, to Burger King to wait for Guadalupe's brother.
Man, that night was tiring, but it was full of fun. We laughed and fell, but that was one of my favorite memories of the 8th grade.
"Jose Drama"
ReplyDeleteOne day we had gotten bad news. We had entered the classroom and Mrs. Brosious had been looking sad and depressed sort of. That week she had been crying and suffering because some of Mr. Barr’s students had been misbehaving. She was tired of it and so where the other teachers. It wasn't anybody’s fault it just happened.
So that morning Mrs. Brosious told us that we were about to get a student from 302 as well as the other classes. We were fine with it. But then she said that there was a bad part to it. We all talked over her she said " Well as I told you we are getting Alberto Sanchez and in order for that to happen someone has to leave." At that point it became serious and we all got quiet. She continued, "The person leaving is Jose" We all went like “WHAT” all confused not knowing why exactly. We got sad. She told Jose to go to his cubby and collect his things.
At that point this was very serious and we wanted to tell him our last goodbyes. Then Mrs.Brosious said, "I told you J.P you were dropping down your grades and behaving very rude." Then she started to laugh and we all stared at her. We thought to our selves is this really happening or is this a lie. Of course we thought it was real because she was our homeroom teacher. I mean why would she do that to us. Within 5 minutes she told us the truth that Jose was staying but Alberto was coming to Room 304. This was okay with us. Know Jose is famous of me (lol) but it was something memorable and it was nice to have a new student in the classroom.

ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite memories was when we were backstage at the play. We had lots of fun because we goofed around and meet new people. There was many other good memories ion 8th grade but the one I liked the most was the time were we were backstge with the play people.
We had lotts of fun because we got to meet new people. We meet people that we would provlaly wouldn't have meet by ourselfs. We also as well got to goof of and play with the people.
So this is onme of my favorite memories because we got to meet newpeople and got to goof of.Theres many more but this one is the one i liked the best.
I had alot of fun memoiries in the eight grade. But one memoirie that I will never forget was when me and Michelle were critizing the play. We had so much fun, laughing and joking around. Dont get me wrong,the play was decent, but the stagfe was so dumb. Michelle was all like"Woah, i didnt know that the inside looked like the outside!"
ReplyDeleteAnd I was like"I didnt know that every room had a gate." it was so funny. I laughed and Michelle laughed, and even Brittany was a part of this. It was so fun. And the so called "libray scene" was funny. it was a good time. it was a good year. I will never forget this year, and i hope my fellow friendswill never forget.
I had many good 8th grade memories.Although the best is when the entire 8th grade whent to Springfield.It was alot of fun and entertaining.
ReplyDeleteI remember waking up at 6 in the morning to get dressed and go pick up Diana. Altohugh when I whent to pick her up she told me the time.So we just ran for the school becausae we were late.I was suprised of how fast we ran when we were running late.
When we got to school we were sent for the bus right away.I remembersitting in the back with my frinends.On the trip there some of my friends Yatz,Letty,and Nancy started singing.Then i joined in and so did a few other people. I remember that was fun and entertaining.
Also it was coool visiting all the museums and important buildings. They (buildings) were huge and informative.Although it was hard to pay atterntion to people with the speakers.

first day. I was so excited that I didn't wait
for my family to get dressed for school. When I was entering the school building, I wondered
who my classmates were going to be.
I quickly noticed that all my friends from
seventh grade were here. I was glad my friends
were here, but almost all the students from
last year were here. I was later having a great time for my first day. I just hope nobody would ruin this moment. I was right
about the day.
Then disaster struck. The troublemakers were
ruining it at the end of the day.So much for
having a good day.
When I was walking into 302 i had entered this school year alittle late. When the lady from the office told me I was going to be in room 302 with Mr.Barr I thought it was going to be a mean teacher and that he was going to treat us bad. When I enetered his classroom everybody started staring at me I didn't know that much people in the classroom but when I saw Mirna and Ana I was relief I knew that I was going to have someone to talk to. I remembere that when Ana saw me she hugged me and said welcome and she told me to sit down in her table with Christian, so I sat down with them and Mr. Barr didn't even noticed that I had entered the classroom until he announced to the class that they were going to have a new student and we all started laughing because I was already there. Well acouple of weeks passed and I started knowing the entire class more I had a really good time in 8th grade with my friends Ana, Nubia, Jessica N, Vannessa, Mirna, Maria, Yaritza, Yessica F, Yesenia, John, Alfonso, Francisco A, Francisco B, Alberto, All the 5 jesus all the Juans, and all the joses... It was really fun in 302 this was the best year even though it went really fast. GO 302!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt was the day we performed the play of Beauty n the beast. I was not nervous at all because i had experience on showing my talent to people. Though my friends were scared, they were shaking, telling me that they were nervous,and telling me how they wonder what was going to happend. Then it was time to do our first show. When we finished we did preety good. THE eND
ReplyDeleteI was walking in the classroom 302.I was nervous my heart stared to move faster and faster.But then i saw ana i stop worrying about it.It was cool I'm with my best friend Ana banana.Then I started to talk with ana we where laughing having fun then .Then i meet Nubia I started to hangout with her some how she make me laugh out of the blue.then a few weeks Anais came we started to chill with her and all three they so cool and funny with u with then your day go faster in school.I like to hang around with then they always make my day all thought sometimes they make me smiley or laugh.Its awesome memory being in 302 with all my class mate they make laugh even too the trouble markers.They cool funny fun to hang out with then .I like being in room 302 this great being with then.Its funny talking with Vanessa , Alfonso, john,Maria,Yuri,Franciscos's,Yesenia,joses's,jesus's,jessica mirna,alberto.And my best friends Ana Nubia Anais .In 302 there alot of memory good memory and silly ones 2.In 8th was fun and cool being with my classmate good memory that i'm not going to forget (maybe i am lol)oops my bad . ReplyDeleteI remember the time when I first met Jessica Naranjo, Maria Garcia,Jocelin Garcia , and ofcoures Ana clemente.I was scared because I had to stay back in 8th grade again and I didnt know anyone. I had to wait in the office so they can assine me a classroom. I had to wait for about 2 hours until a teacher called me and asked me to pick a class except for Mrs.Christensen's class.I didnt know which one to pick and then i remembered that Ana was in Mr.barrs class. So i told the teacher and i was escorted to room 302. when I entered,the whole classes eyes were on me. I felt weird until I saw Ana looking at me and smiling at me. I felt more confortable knowing that someone that I knew of was going to be tere when i need her. When we left for first period Ana introduced me to Jessica a very pale person (nah Im messing)She seams like a very nice friend and a very trust worthy too. Ana told me that they called jessica Naranja because of her last name naranjo. Jessica told me that they call ana banana.The next day I had met Al my bffls Ana,jessica,maria g,And joceling.calss of 2010 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!302 runs this!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSwish Swish!The ball flew through the court.up and down.side to side. my hands moving with the ball. my feet chasing them both.my heart set in it. i never would have expected to to make it this far. to have set the lady knights star goal. we made it till the end. the crowd was filled with people that loved us and supported us till the end. it was the greatest season i ever had. i have no regrets on how i played. if it wasn't for the encourgement that i had by my lady knights (maria yazmin monica tyra jessica vannesa yuliana stephani diana dannii alexis) also by my great coach mr. ramirez aka mr. bully. i would always have lady knights in my blood.

ReplyDeleteand I got excited because i already payed and knew I was going i just had to wait for the day .Finally the day came..I had to wake up at 6am got ready (And dressed IN UNIFORM) even though we didnt had to haha.When i got to school i went to the office and there was alot of kids Without uniform.We got in a really awesome bus with a t.v and watched k.u panda:) haha i had a awesome time in springfield!
OMG! It was the best day we3ll that’s what I thought my face was all scare and the reason why it was because I thought that Mr. Barr was a mean teacher because I had heard from people that he was a mean teacher I walk in and he was holding the door and telling everyone good morning welcome to 8th grade well we were all looking for our desks. The desks were by abs order by the last name and in my table it was cristian Hernandez and yaritza Sanchez and Alberto Sanchez. In the desk there was red folders with papers in it that said welcome to 8thgrade Mr. Barr. That was something really special oh well that’s the way I took it. When I stared meeting people I stared thinking of names to call them because didn’t like some names like yaritzas one so I stared calling her senora, ana was banana and long time pass and everyone got nicknames like crazy like anais calling her nariz and nuvia pajara and Jessica orangeeeeeeeeeeeee.lol even teachers got nicknames like Mr. Barr red teacher Mr. Murphy other names that I wont write lol well my favorite moment in 8th grade as you seen it was when I meet new people. Like my best friends yessenia mirna anais Jessica’s Ana Maria and nuvia.if I had a chance to be with all of them again in Hight School I will be so happy like so happy this was my favorite year ever

When i first walk into 302 i thought i wasn't going to like that class but meeting all the people in that clss was so cool.I met awesome friends.When people in the class were calling me willy wonka and when people in the class called me Mrs.Bieber.302 was the best class ever. I had a great time being in 302 it was the collest class ever the best class then all the other classes.This is my favorite memory from 8th grade.

ReplyDeleteUm 8th grade, i am so bored i just miss the old 302. it used to make me laugh. i'll always be like "jajajaja". now it's all boring and the class is so quiet and no one laughs as we used to. we used to laugh in all the classes, and we would be talkative. But oh well i met two friends jessica F. and Mirna D. they were funny and talkative but at first we were shy to talk to each other. it was the beggining of the year and yeah we had the whole 302 class and it was funny cause teachers saidd that we were the worst class that we didn't pay attention and that we didn't do our work. Now teachers because they took out 4 people they say that were a good class and that we are quiet and we do our work. but i am happy because i have all my friends. we hanged out together and went to all classes and sat down together. my happy memory in 8th grade well its having maria and mirna and jessica F. with me even though someone ruined 302 but "oh well" yo dije.... the three of us sometimes fight for stupid things but we always came as friends again. we have things in common. um this is what the best memory i had and the bad memory i had of "SOME" "PEOPLE" especially "2" people that i cnt mention because theyll get me in trouble but wateverz. but i am happy because that memory didn't affect me a lot.

I think to myself of all the great memories i have had with my freinds, homeroom, and teachetrs. One of those memories was when i tried to learn hill billy talk with Tyra. We laughed so much and we had such a fun time.
ReplyDeleteIt was so funny how I would try to do the accent like her but I just sounded silly. But i actually learned at the end. It took time but it was fun. I had a good laugh out of that.Well i had a lot of great memories and i am going to miss the class of 2010 so much.
8th grade has many mermories, but my favorite memory was on June 8,2010. We went into the classroom and I knew today was the day we were going to find out if we graduated or not. We went into social studies and Mrs.Murphy said we were going to find out we were going to graduate today. I was very nervous because I didn't do the best this year. As some were told to go tpo another classroom, I was nervous if they called my name. I was thinking alot of things, such as am I graduating or not, am how I was going to tell my parents or not. At the end, I ended up graduating. There was one thing that troubled me thought, and that was how did I pass? I was almost positive that I was going to get a d or f in reading and writing. Even if I never find that out, at least I know I graduated and will be walking up and getting my diploma soon. Im also glad that, since I was able to graduate, my dad said he was going to buy me the new iphone that is going to come out soon. In the end, I am glad I graduated.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite 8th grade memory was when we were coming from luch into mrs.Murphy's class,and i was walking to the back of the room to wash my hands. Suddenly i heard a strange noise behind me, turning around to see what it was i saw it was Sara. She was running toward me with both her arms stretched out also her tounge, and breathing hard.
I was surprised because i didn't know she was there so i started to laugh then run from her.I felt that feeling of having fun but really trying to get away.Everybody saw what was happening and they all were laughing, so was i. I laughed the whole day about that,and i will never forget that moment.(sighs)goodtimes.

ReplyDelete8th grade was full of a lot of interesting memories,most of which I will honestly say were not my favorite memories,but there is one that I did enjoy during my whole year as an Eight grader.During Science,well at the beginning of the year,we had a Science Fair and in that Science Fair my poster along with a couple of others was chosen to go on and although I didn't win we were all invited on a trip to the Shedd Aquarium for having been at least considered.
ReplyDeleteI'm usually one that dislikes field trips a lot,but this field trip was in a place that my mom and I had wanted to go since I was a little girl,it just looked really awesome than most of the other places I had been.I never really imagined that it would be so large!Arriving and following this corridor we were met by a huge tank containing various types of fishes and what not,it was the larget aquarium I had ever seen.There we were all lined up against the huge glass windows,pointing at all the fishes we saw.One particular fish caught my eye because it looked like it was outlined in blue,I was amazed that it was even possible for fishes to be outlined.We stayed along the glass for a few minutes 'till finally we were moved along to other sections where other sea creatures awaited us.
After touring the place for a bit we were moved along to go see a show and let me tell you it was spectacular.There were dolphins and penguings all performing and some people even got to touch them!I would have never thought that the aquarium even had a show.We stayed there for a quite awhile looking in awe at all the tricks the people did with the animals.
The Best part though was disecting a squid.I thought it would be disguisting and I'm not gonna lie it sorta was,but it was my first time ever doing it.I cut the squid up with some scissors!I thought it wouldn't be that easy but it was.We even got to see where the ink came from and where their stomachs were located at.
I'll miss 8th grade, yet I'm glad to be moving on to different experiences.

8th grade was cool my favorite memory in 8th grade is the day I went to Springfield on October 22,2009. it was Thursday when the whole 8th grade went to springfield, I was with a friend and we played psp on the bus as I see my parentsn out the window they were waving me goodbye I waved goodbye back and the bus left.

When we made it to springfield it was fun and it was cool ther was alot of places with the presiedent first mane lincoln all I saw was lincoln libary, lincoln church, and lincoln cementary but i didn care all i know was that I liked being in springfield because i had fun and i had fun with friens.
It was a Thursday morning when I had woke up with an awesome attitude! I was hoping it was a great day for me. And it did turn out to be like I wish. I had checked my phone and it said ''Sara want to go to dunking donuts?'' So I went with my friends out and I had drank some ice coffee it was so good:)!
ReplyDeleteBy the time it was 8:00 we had walked to school. When it was time to go in class, I notice everybody happy. I Couldn’t believe it. Miss. Murphy had a great posite smile on her face. which was wonderful.
We had gone to our prep which was library. And Me and Karla were so goofy that day. We were acting all crazy. I remember our library teacher had told the class to go to the computer lab. Everybody went but me and Karla. We had hidden in the bookshelf. And since the bookshelf have a small place in the bottom which you can go through it, like underneath it, to go to the next book shelf, me and Karla dare each other to go underneath it. It was so fun. We were cracking up so hard because we couldn’t fit!! But we push each other. I remember we had gotten stuck in there. ha
good times.We were laughing so hard! but we try not to laugh so hard because we would of gotten in trouble.So we had like swollow our laughter!!! ha
I would never forget that time we spent. It was one of the best memories ever! And it was so funny.After all The best part was that we dint got in trouble!
Today was a beatiful day! It was almost the end of the year and something amazing happened that i thought would never in life would happened.A food Fight! As I entered the lunchroom I sat down on the table with my friends. One of my friends wanted a food fight so they started thowing food at each other when they threw it at someone at our room.
ReplyDeleteThey got mad and threw it back, suddenly the 7th graders thought they should join and started throwing food around. Thats when everyone started graving food. I was full with joy because my wish came true and it was funny how people were getting food in their hair and how girly girls were like,
"oh my hair!" It was so funny. I didn't get to throw that munch because it was empty. I had eaten all my food. What a fat ass I am!
The party didn't ended yet, the security guards came and started saying who it was. Suddenly everyone at or room pointed at our table. I have realized that it wosn't me who they were pointed at. It was 2 guys sittiong with us. I started laughing really hard. I would never forgett that day! It was the best time, and I was their!
My fellow classmates and me most likely all had a fantastic 8th grade year. It saddens my heart to know I won’t see some of them anymore and especially one I have taking a liking too. She is one that I will miss forever and wish we could have been something more. Wishes are just wishes and they won’t come true. I look back at what I did this school year and what really stood out was the science field trip to the Shedd Aquarium.
ReplyDeleteThe bus ride is what started it off and helped it become a great day. I sat with my friend Eduardo Leon. We listened to his I-POD and jammed out to some mad Metallica! I was really enjoying this bus ride. Usually they are lame and boring, but this time it wasn’t. Then we dissected squids at the aquarium. I saw the beak, brains, stomach, ink tube, and the suction cups. Me and my partner Maria explained how the beak works and how the squid swallows to the rest of the class. Then we saw the dolphin show. It was cool and seals were flopping around on the floor. Penguins ran below our feet and some of us got to pet them (I DIDN’T SMH). Dolphins went crazy and squirted water on us -.-. But In the end it was so fun. This made 8th grade the best,
Thinking back to after lunch. My class was acting very goofy or in other words Sara is hilarious!She is the most funniest and unique person ever! We were coming back from lunch and we were all hyped up from eating cookies!my favorite most memorable moment in eighth grade was when it all started coming back from lunch.
ReplyDeleteSara was making the most weirdest noise ever while out of nowhere starts chasing tyra around the classroom with her toungue sticking out and her hand reaching towards Tyra. Tyra had the most hilarious look on her face. Her expression made me crack up in laughter! We were watching as Tyra was screaming around the classroom , sara was being her goofy self, and Maria,Karla, and me were laughing so hard!
After that in Math class Sara was just acting very silly as usual. I twisted her arm a bit to shut her up and as a result she just started laughing out of no where and seh grabbed by arm and slapped it really hard! i wasnt really mad though , it was kinda actually funny instead. Sara is just a very unique person that doesnt care what people think or say about her.
At the end of the day Karla just started singing very loud in front of the class during Social STudies. this was my favorite eighth grade memory throughout the schoolyear! =)
first dayschoolcame I didn't feel like coming to school, but I did come. Then I went to my homeroom and I thought that this year was going to be boring year but it wasn't I actually had fun this year. We had a lot of laughs, a lot of fights, and a lot of bad report cards.

I wack in room 302 Mr.Barr was happy and lafing. He told all the class that we were going to see gossamer ate a play. So that day came and i went to the school. I was so exaded to get there and see gossamer. So when we were going me and nahtaly were so happy of seeing gossamer. Then we were ther all of nigthingale student and techers were exaded. So went we were going back to school Mr.Barr tollas to wraed to the gossemer acters of how good were they.I love the story and the play. It was a happy and exaided day.

Now you see us and were really tight and I kind of see them as sisters. Then moths past and we became 6 best friends (ben, yuliana, maria, javier, erik, and me). ReplyDeleteI remember waking up early in the morning. I was really tired. Well, I got ready to go to school. I left my house and walked to school when I got there I saw two buses in the parking lot. I was standing around then I saw Javier walking torward me. I didn't really know where to go. I saw people walking to the office so I followed them there. Then I saw Mrs. Murphy and some other kids in my class. After everyone got to the school we started to get ready to go.
ReplyDeleteYay! It's the day of the pizza party for basketball! I can't wait to eat it the pepporine and chesse mmmmm so good to bad i have to wiat till after school. Me and Yuli were too excited to pay attention in the classes. I was dieing to eat something and not eating breakfast in the morning is making it worse. I also made Yuli mad because I kept saying I wanted something to eat and that if I didnt get something now I would go crazy! But soon it was time to eat. But since my class is one of the classes that have the last period to eat thay had only a little bit of food and there wasnt anything good to eat!!! I was becomreing desprate to eat that pizza n during social studies it became worse!!!! My tummy groweled like an angrey wolf!! But since I didn't paid much attention to the clock it was then time to go. Yuli and I raced to the caffitiria were we practiced for basket ball. there on the tables were the food pizza and soda!!! I was so happy that I ate more than I realized. Afterward we plyed against the boys we lost but then we mixed it boys with girls and we had a tie! It was so fun but before we could leave Mr. Ramirez gave us medals for winnig the championship it was the best time I had in 8th grade and I wouldn't change it for the world!

ReplyDeleteWe were in Reading and then like Ms.Silis said that it was likely that we would find out if were either like graduating or not. So like alot of people were like freaking out. By Writing, all the boys and the girls were freaking out. Some were even going to cry,and it was emebarrasing. Then we went to homeroom and this was the time. Some kids left the room, which turned out to be the kids who were not going to graduate. Everyone was happy and joyful, and I was exciting that I was graduating since I tought I was like not going to graduate.
In the end,this has to be my most happy memory since I finnaly know that Im graduating.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite moment in School is that i was in Table Five. Danny, Daisy, Oscar M., and me. We had a lot of fun times in that table. It was really fun being there. eVERYBODY WAS LIKE TOTALLY TELLING jOkes in there. One good time was when a waterbotlle or water in a cup ""Exploded on DaizyS face. THen it happened to jysel also . It was really funny because they looked like they didnt make it to the bathroom. IT was hilarious . Another time we also started throwing paperballs at each other. I liked going to sprtingfield because it was intersting and it was fun. i also liked it because we got to go to many places that people like the president have walked on.I liked going on the Lincoln museum because it had many fun things and exibits that you can watch.When i first got to springfield i thought it was going to be fun. At the end of the day i felt very exited and happy because i had lots of fun.

ReplyDeleteWe were talking about how women that are involved in striping walk. Then one of my friends starts showing us.
"This is how they walk" she told us.
Then she dipped in a sexy way. After that she started walking in slow up and down strokes.
Then all of a sudden since she was wearing high heels she fell making a loud thump and throwing her shoes all the way across the gym!
All I remember is falling to the ground knocking down all my friends with me of pure laughter.
One of my favorite memories is on june 8'2010 when miguel,danely,jesus,alfonso,and I were eating spicy powder i was the first one to taste it .i was making funny face because the powder was sour and spicy at the same time .when miguel saw thet i had some he wanted to try some to i gave him ALOT of powder he was joking on it but i thought he was playing around haha.then i gave a little to jesus and alfonso but while we where acting weird danely was siiting back watching the show .jesus was was trying to be a big man and eat it all at once i felt kidda sorry for him because it went in his nose hahaaa sucker no i did't feeel sorry for him he's the one that put it in his nose thinking his all thet lol

My favorite memory in 8th grade was um let me think I had alot of good memories but my favorite was when me,jysel,and daisy were going to gym and then daisy saw a door that had no window and she punched it. Then jysel said "uuu you broke it". Then im all like "it had no window she just punched it". Then we all started laughting for a long time. THIS IS HARD TO CHOSE OUR FAVORIRTE MEMORIES:)
ReplyDeleteOne of the good thinqs about this year was that i got to meet a lot of different people. I got along with all of them in the class, they were all goofy and awsome.
ReplyDeleteBut one of my favorite memory was when i qot to meet Betty and Karina. They real cool, and funny friends to get along with. We helped eachother with a lot of things. Also, when we were at gym and Daisy fell on the floor like 10 times. We were playing with a ball aand we were suppode to fight for it and they were playing to aggresive. And then there was this time when Mr Barr was treating Aaron because they were gonna compete in a basketball game at school. There were a lot more other good things about 8th grade year. I'm real glad i got to meet a lot of people i didnt get to talk to.=))
In 8th grade there were many favorite memories. Included friends, school , and activities. A time when my class was in gym . It was about the end of the year .We were at the gym it was like a run around with a basketball and make baskets more likely like playing basketball but this game was different you could of only have taken 2 or steps. Either way they still broked the rule , but Mrs.Cap never realized that. That i was sitting down for the day because i got in trouble for poking Betty and Jysel also for saying there name repeatly . So as i said i was sit down . The girls and boys were taking turns playing . The guy took the game not seriously but more as a joke. In the other side the girls were taking it seriously . They were going agressive when they got the ball. There were many funny moments there but one of the funnies were when Daisy F (303) fell in gym like 20 times . I guess her shoes didn't have no grip on stopping after running . At first time she felled it wasn't really that funny but the second time it was hilirous . We kept laughing ( Edgar, Alfonso , Jamie , includind Me) at her. She kept falling every time and we kept laughing .When we got to class I was always the first one to make fun of her. I felt guilty afterwards but it was fun laughing about it everytime. It was like if would always picture her falling and getting up . Soon later on weeks pass and stopped making fun of her. Well this was one of my favorite memories in my 8th grade year. It was fun talking with friends including my best friends ( Daisy F,Jysel M). It been an experience to have them in my life.
ReplyDeleteWell I had so many awesome memories in 8th grade. One of my favorite memories was when I was in science and I was sitting down in table 7 and 5. At the begining of the year I was assigned a table that was known as table 7. Jysel, Oscar, Sonia, and I were in that table. Jysel and I always used to act so dumb. We always fooled around and we always used to be laughing. Mrs.Christensen always used to get mad at us because we were always laughing and talking during class. Soon everything changed and we were assigned new tables with new people. Table 5 was an awesome table.Daniel, Oscar M., Fernando , and I were assigned table 5. In that table we fooled around and made funny jokes but we were alwasy on task.
ReplyDeleteIn the last quarter Jysel Francisco and I created Geek Squad Power :). One time when we were in reading class and we were about to take a test the 3 of us looked at each other and started to say stuff like "Lets do this!" then we put all of our fists together and yelled "Geek Squad Power!"
Another funny memorie was when my class was in gym. We were playing this game that was kinda related to basketball except we didnt bounce the ball and we could only take 3 steps once we had the ball. It was girls vs. girls and boys vs. boys. When I was playing i fell like so many times. I guess I was into the game that i went crazy. When I fell everyone saw it and ofcourse they were all laughing at me. I started to laugh too . Soon I heard Francisco R. started to scream "Day-z!Day-z!Day-z!." Then I heard everyone start to cheer for me. I then started to laugh and the feeling towards the fact that my whole classmates were cheering for me felt awesome!:)
Hionestly and truthfully i have many more memories in 8th grade but time is runnung out and so i have to go so laterz!:)
My favorite 8th grade memory? HA! WOW, I have a lot! :) A funny time was at the beginning of the year started with the teachers. There was once a time that Daisy and I were talking with Mrs. Christensen about Josue(nothing bad, nothing bad!) and then since Josue hadnt arrived yet, all of a sudden he came in, in the middle of our conversation and then she said "Oh well look here, speaking of the devil". Daisy and I bursted out laughing because we had never heard that phrase before. lol. Also around our first week in social studies class, our class didn't know anything about the continents and Mrs. Murphy was all shocked and then she said "Oh my god, you guys. Thats...that's sad. That's a sin!" and Daisy asked "That's a sin?" and she said "Well, yes, really thats a sin!" and the whole class just exploded with laughter. Going to students now, there was another time that Adileni was bleeding from her lip and as we were going to lunch she asked Daisy and I "Hey, is my lip ripped?". Daisy and I didnt even answer because of out laughter. I mean how can your lip be ripped?? ha! Funny Adileni. :) Ill stay in topic, when we were walking to Gym the other time Adileni was all telling me her favorite spot in Tech Lab, so she said "I like being in the wood." and Daisy was in front of us so she heard and then she asked "How can you be the wood?" and Adileni and I just stared at each other and began cracking up, then Daisy joined in when she got the point.
ReplyDeleteWhen we were in reading class and we were given permission to sit down with people we wanted and Daisy, Francisco R, and Me sat together and we call each other the "Geek Squad" lol, and so then when we all sat down we all made a fist and said "Geek Power!" and we placed all our fists at the center and then we stayed quiet staring at our fist, not knowing what else to do. After a few seconds of confused silence we just began laughing and Daisy was all like "Dudes that was so gay!". Lol! Lets change the memory now to Jonathan S. Lol, that kid is funnnyyyy! Once that we were in science class and our group was having silent reading so it was quiet and then Jonathan since he sits next to me all of a sudden is all like "I'm an African American that works on railroads." lol! Dannay and I just began laughing, we were all like "what?". There was a different time, as well in which we were learning about the Civil Rights Movement and then Jonathan stared at Julio once and then he's all like "Julio was part of the Civil Rights Movement." and then the ones that were close to us just began laughing along. Going to reading class now, there was a time in which Ms. Silis had a tiny globe on her desk and then someone accidently dropped it and it rolled to the floor and then Ms. Silis was all like "Oops! There goes the world!". Then most of us from the class began laughing again. Another funny moment was when we were in afterschool in room 304 with Mrs. Brosius and then leo told her that the only reason she went to class was because there was only else she could do and then daisy and i laughed cuz she said "Oh for the love of god!". I could say many more but im out of time! bye bye :)
There were alot of things that happened in 8th grade. The good times,the bad times,and the sad times but in all everything was ok.To me my favorite part of 8th grade was our trip to springfield. I was so happy when my parents gave me permission. Of course they gave me their usual speech when i'm on my own but i was so excited. I was going to spend a whole day away from Chicago with my friends.
ReplyDeleteThe day was awesome in the bus i sat with my bff fatima and we were bored and started calling my friend Angelica.We were sort prank calling her and i couldn't stop laugh. Michael and Eduardo helped us too we had a blast.It was funny then we played with Fatima's camera and started to take millions of pictures.
Then at lunch Fatima and i sat with Edurado, Michael, Adrian,and Leo. I had barely joined 304 so i was kind of shy when we sat with them but they were really friendly whhic is why they are awesome friends. We were laughing and joking around and i had lots of fun. When we finished eating, the guys started playing and running after each other. I enjoyed the trip very much.
My favorite moment in 8th grade was when we were playing softball in gym. It was so much fun because we had really small teams. I was really excited to play because i love baseball so softball is a lot of fun to me as well. I never knew you could play softball with only a few people but it turned out great.
ReplyDeleteWhile we were playing football we got to talk to and get along with people we don't usually talk to.It was amazing to see how things go when people get along and help each other out. Since softball is a sport that revolves around teamwork that means everyone has to try and work together.Still it is wonderful to be in a place that a lot of people got along in.
I will always remember this moment because we were having so much fun. No one was keeping score because no one cared about winning only about having fun playing the game. It was awesome to be with people that want to try things that are new because not all of the kids that were playing liked baseball or softball so they were trying it anyway.
When I came to 8th grade I thought that I wasn’t gone have friends. People started to talk to they say “hi” I said “hi” back so we became friends. The next day more people start talk in to me I was happy because people talk to me so we became friends I laugh because I didn’t expect people talking to me so we all friends
